Black Forest Private Tours offers private day tours of the Black Forest Germany. Tour 1,2,3 or more days with a private guide and car. Half day tours and city tours are also available. I am an English-speaking tourguide licensed by the German Tourguide Association and member of the Southern Black Forest Tourguide Club. Each tour is customized, you get your own individual agenda and see only the things which matter to you. If you are on a budget I also offer self-guided tours. You tour on your own, with downloadable pdf tours designed and tested by locals. You choose your own travel day and we make sure you don't get lost. Learn about German culture and traditions while exploring sights and scenery in one of the most beautiful areas in Germany.

Simone Brixel's Black Forest Tours are absolutely amazing!
Simone's organizational & communication skills are astounding from the very first email response right up to the details for your departure day. So the trip was extremely well organized with more than adequate information regarding navigation and transport options if needed. The scenery on the trails was sensational, the villages beautiful and the accommodation was so much better than expected. I used the new navigation app which worked well although I did make one navigational error but that was my fault for being a bit lax. Overall the Black Forest Tour was a great multi day hike and a most worthwhile experience! Thank you Simone.

The Black Forest is as beautiful as you imagine it to be! The hikes and small towns are interesting and the people are friendly. Simone does an excellent job of laying out exactly what to expect so you'll definitely be well-prepared.

Had an amazing vacation in Black Forest. Incredible scenery. Hikes were great, hotels were fantastic, luggage transfer between hotels made everything seemless.

A group of friends headed to Munich for Oktoberfest but wanted to enjoy some hiking time outside to the fest for the rest of our trip to Germany. We booked black forest tours based on the reviews and the ability to have our extra luggage schlepped without us having to carry all our stuff all day. ZERO REGRETS. Simone is amazing - she answered all our questions. The towns were simply magical and the trails were like walking through a fairy tale. I say all that knowing we had terrible weather. On the last day the wind and rain were so mighty there was some question about getting blown off the trail - it still didn't hamper how fantastic our trip was and how much fun we had. Everything from train directions, to trail directions (down to the "take 90 steps and turn left" detail) to details of who you are likely to meet along the trail and restaurant recommendations is written up for you. I cannot more highly recommend the Black Forest trek and this company - if you're on the fence, just go for it!

We are a senior Canadian couple who generally travel on our own. Because we wanted to travel to the Black Forest we wanted to be able to enjoy the sights rather than concentrating on driving.
We found Black Forest Tours on line and were really happy with the tour that Simone set up for us. I think there three different types of tours. We chose the three day tour with car and driver. Simone made the hotel arrangements and those were superb.
We had a driver, Monika, who was just amazing. She spoke some English and we spoke no German. However, we worked well together. We were taken to a waterfall where we could climb and to see the cuckoo clocks. There are so many sights that Monika took us to mention each one. It was fantastic experience .
Travelling on the Black Forest Train was a highlight especially for my husband.

We used Black Forest Tours to book a 2 hour walking tour of the old town of Freiburg and an all day exploration of the western part of the Black Forest. We had the same terrific guide for both, Annemarie Schaaf. Our group was 5 adults and five teens. The choice of locations and activities by Simone of the Tour company were also just right for this group. Our mini-bus was modern and well air-conditioned with an experienced driver from the area.

I just finished a Town and Country Tour, organized by Simone of Black Forest Tours. It was absolutely fantastic! I visited 5 little medieval towns in the Black Forest, each one with its own character and beauty. Simone took care of hotel reservations and luggage transport and it all went smoothly. She also provided recommendations of hikes and activities for each town. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed. I would highly recommend this tour, and others that Simone organizes!

Lots of different hikes—all of them great—on the Town and Country Tour. We had five different towns to explore—all with different history and attractions and several different hikes to do each day. This was the perfect tour of The Black Forest! Simone made everything easy with great directions and wonderful recommendations in each town. Travel was easy and we met so many wonderful people. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a taste of all The Black Forest has to offer!

Hello - we run our tours out of several locations, most often Freiburg. It really depends on the custom tour we build for you. Once we know what you want to do and see we can suggest the right location for you. Our tours start at 65 Euro total/hour for your group of up to 6 people. All tours are customized though - so you pick the length of your tour. And then you decide whether you just want to tour with a driver (we call it Just-a-Driver tour) or if you prefer to tour with a guide. We also offer hiking tours, Freiburg Walking tours, Culinary tours and more. You tell us what you want - and we will try to put it together for you. We were there on a Saturday and did their tour. They can take you anywhere you would like to see. We had a great time and our driver was very knowledgeable. The tour was expensive.

We will be in Zurich for one day n planning to visit Rhine Falls by Train. By any chance can we have tour from Rhine falls to Black Forest n back. We are Indian family of 3, with 3 year young son.
How about crossing the boarder, we got Schengen visa.

unfortunately we don't offer such tours. All our Black Forest tours start from the Black Forest. We can certainly offer a transfer from Zurich to the Black Forest - but it really prevents you from seing a big part of the Black Forest if you are staying in Switzerland. Day tours from Zurich only take you to the southern tip of the Black Forest - which is where all day tourists go. Please email me if you want to consider other options.
