It is a nice stairs walk in the north part of the city. You need a bit of physical training. Not accessible for disable people. Unfortunately, the water does not flow in November.

We walked all the way to the Merkur Station--with a stop at Waldcafe for sustenance! The walk down is easier but both are beautiful with lovely fountains and flowers.

The fountain was not working so it was not worth the walk up to the top. The view is nice but nothing out of this world especially if you've already been to merkur mountain and have taken the panaromic way back to the city

We lived on the top and walked down to the city centre in the evening. The 263 steps was fun, and I prefer going down any time. I do not kniw how long tome it takes but I manage to count the steps. It is...More

You can the bus if you prefer; the walk down is just lovely in the midst of beautiful homes and gardens.
