Our first visit to see a wonderful performance of Tristan & Isolde. Great acoustics, comfortable seats, excellent sight lines (but we did have good seats in the stalls), helpful and friendly foyer and bar staff. And a good number of ladies loos so no queuing...More

The Festspielhaus is in the original train station building, but with a modern auditorium built on behind the interesting 19th Century facade. This is one of the leading concert halls in Germany, & the only one funded entirely privately, and it attracts international stars of...More

A visit to Baden-Baden is not complete without a visit to the stellar Festspielhaus, a modern 2500-seat theater nicely grafted onto the rear of what was once the Baden-Baden Bahnhof. The grandiose edifice of the old station holds reception and ticketing spaces, and gives way...More

A great stop to a hectic travel. Nice time to immerse and loosen the shoelaces. Try the local flavor and feel the weather into the skin regardless of the time of year

A short walk from the centre of the town. Good auditorium with good acoustics. Easy to book - we did it online and collected the tickets before the concert, no problem. Very comfortable seats. Serves swanky bites to eat and posh drinks, but rather expensive.

The 06 06 2014 we attended my wife and your servant the wonderful opera "Faust" from the French composer Gounod in the Festspielhaus of Baden Baden. With Sonya Yoncheva, Charles Castronovo and Erwin Schrott, it was delightful, a sans faute from the start to the...More

We attended a performance of Bach's St. John's Passion directed by Peter Sellars and conducted by Sir Simon Rattle with the Berlin Philharmonic. Staging was thought provoking, as is typical for Sellars. Berlin Philharmonic still plays with precision. It was such a pleasure to see...More
