We suddenly found ourselves here after having hiked under 20 degrees sunny skies. Finding oneself across a semi-frozen lake in the middle of spring is still rare. The place is not far from the central locations, like Lauf or Baden-Baden, just a 20 minute car...More

Good structure. There are two nice stores with lots of interesting objects including beautiful Cuckoo clocks. We bought a delicious Salami (kirschewasser schinken). The weather was very cold and the lake was frozen. There are tables for pic nic around the lake - nice option...More

A must to visit. It takes 55 mins from Leopaldplatz on bus 245. Sit on the right side as the views and scenery are amazing. It was the best bus ride I have ever taken. Once there you will be amazed by the sheer beauty...More

Beautiful in the winter. Short walk around the lake was lovely. The lake was much smaller than I expected, comparable to the size of a large pond (in Canada). I am so glad we stopped here on the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse. It was one our my favourite...More

This flat boardwalk is easy to do with small kids (not for strollers). The lake is beautiful and there is a nice memorabilia store next to it. Food is also available. Recommended.

Great for walks in stunning scenery. Looks like the ideal place for road cycling. Hotel/shop sells tourist gifts and serves hot food.

We were taking the scenic route in the Black Forest and decided to stop in Mummelsee. My 4 year old and 7 year old sons enjoyed the playground area. There is also a great photo opportunity across from the lake. If you are hungry, don't...More

We visited Mummelsee a while ago in the summer. This was my first trip to Germany and to stay in the Black Forest was indeed a treat, especially here. It is so romantic, pretty and very dense, a must visit.

one hour drive on a bus to get there. Absolutely nothing special. In 10 minutes I walked around the lake and spent the other 30 browsing inside the shop. It is just a stop in a motorway.

...we then started a walk around, noting the trees, scenery and wild (small) animal life as we went around and it turned into a gem of a visit. We arrived there on our way from Baden Baden to Gengenbach. It was pretty cold and we...More
