Love wandering ruins. This one has many levels to explore and a fantastic view from the top! Only a few other people were there with us and we enjoyed wandering around. It is free along with free parking. Nice place to visit for as long or as short as you want.

This place only took about 10 mins drive outside the baden baden itself. Parking is just exactly in front of the castle. It's free entrance and not so busy. The view from above was so nice. We were happy that we went here.

We went there by car, there is a parking just outside the castle. Castle closes at 6 30 pm (sign on the board), entrance is free. the castle is absolutely gorgeous, in a very good condition. I highly recommend visiting this place! (+the nice view from the tower is guaranteed)

Based on TA reviews we took the 10 minute drive out of Baden Baden to visit the castle it was easy to find using the TA review postcode into our satnav. We arrived at 09:45 and it was already open. We spent maybe an hour and a half roaming freely through the rooms and stairways of the ruined castle admiring... More

This is a good hike from town but provides spectacular views of the town and surrounding valley. Go and see a beautiful relic from Baden-Baden history!

We arrived early and had a chance to explore the ruins with only 4-5 other visitors. There is a lot to explore here. Great photo opportunities. We had a picnic after our adventure. A cheep date. Awesome hikes around the ruin. You could easily spend a 1/2 day here.

"Must visit " point especially for ruin lovers. Huge, impressive castle which you can explore without a guide. Astonishing view from the top. Entry is free but gate can be closed after 18.30

It's a must see if you go in Baden-Baden. If the weather is not great or you just don't feel like walking up there, you can go with the bus or with your car. It's worth going right on the top of the castle, because the view are absolutely wonderful.

A ruins of a castle, high on a hill, for you to explore for yourself. No guides, which is really a pity. But the structure is really impressive and the view from the top is great. Definitely worth going.

I really wasn't expecting this castle to be so big ! And free entrance....bonus ! We walked up from the back of town, it's not really that bad a walk if you're in reasonable condition. The trails are well marked and even if you do go down the wrong route just aim for the big ruin at the top of... More
