Went to the undercover Sunday Market to have a look what it's all about.

So much to see and buy in terms of food not to mention upstairs where you can enjoy a coffee or wine.

Busy place but good fun.

Le Marché de Villefranche-Sur-Sâone: A delight to the senses.

It's a remarkable covered market. The center is filled with fruit, vegetable, spice stands and around the edges are butchers, charcuterie, fish and seafood. People of all ages. You can buy food for the week or snacks or a picnic lunch. On the balcony you will find clean restrooms.

Sunday morning, aperitif time

A wonderful, fragrant, lively covered market. Very low prices for southerners. It’s a real joy to walk there and let yourself be tempted. When the shopping bag starts to get heavy, you have to go upstairs and sit down to a plate of oysters accompanied by a small glass of chilled white wine. Unavoidable !
