The hike builds
Jul 2018 • Family
If you start at the top, by the golf course, you can end at the Talloires Harbour which is the prettiest spot on the entire lake. The views on the steep way down are spectacular.

Grand hike with incredible views
Jun 2018 • Friends
We went the day after rain so parts of the trail were quite muddy and slippery. Best to have some shoes with good tread on them and take plenty water if the day is warm. Once to the Roc, the views are amazing! The Lac Annecy is an incredible turquoise blue and you can see gorgeous mountains beyond. Pay attention to the trail markers and if you see an X on a tree, it’s a dead end - Don’t Go That Way! We did get lost for awhile and had to bushwack up a hill, but it was all fun!

Good cliff jumping site.
Aug 2017 • Family
If you have a boat or a paddle board it is easier to reach the cliff jumping site from the water. For teens who don't want to take injury risks there are relatively "safe" jumps of 1, 3/4 and 7 metres around the 45°50'33.9"N 6°11'24.3"E location. You walk from the Golf Course car park and navigate to around this location. The path comes to a T junction. The left goes to a larger beach with cliffs to dive from and the right path to a much smaller beach. There are outcrops of rock jutting out 1 to 5 metres from the cliff face in most places making cliff jumping dangerous except for a few places where the cliff goes straight down and therefore does not require a leap away from the face of the cliff. Swimming is safe for anyone over 1:20m as it is easy to rest and take a breather on the outcrops of rocks. I swam over 2km up and down the cliff face taking a break and getting my breath back every few hundred metres.

The walk requires trainers or hiking shoes with good grip. Don't go there in flip flops or jelly shoes.

Beautiful views and peaceful walk
Jun 2017
From Talloires there is a choice of an easy walk by road or a slightly more difficult climb from the bay to reach the Belvedere of Roc de Chere. It is then an easy walk to the next village on the lake - Menton St Bernard making this a lovely day's walk. We enjoyed the views, the peace and the woodpecker who surprised us.

Beautiful Hike!
Jun 2016 • Friends
Definitely the highlight of our trip to Annecy! Only takes about 30 minutes to get to the Roc from the bay in Talloires (charming little town). The climb was steep and muddy (due to recent rains) so good footwear recommended. You can get great views of the bay and mountains just going halfway up. Don't miss it!

Great spot for hiking and sightseeing

Beautiful spot by the lake. Some of the trails are a medium challenge, but the ones I tried were all very do-able. The only downside to this park is the presence of a golf course right in the middle of it- a very non-public course I might add! Worthy of using a guide to find the good spots.

The perfect rock

when you are staying in the beautiful Talloires make sure to hike Roc de Chere as it is quite easy hiking. You can hike from the Golf course and end in Talloires if you ready fro the long trail ...

Easy, beautiful hike overlooking Lac d'Annecy
Jun 2013 • Family
A short, beautiful hike overlooking Lac d'Annecy. Well worth the effort for gorgeous views of the lake. Nice wooded trail, part runs along the golf course. Allow 1.5 hours round trip. An easier alternative to La Tournette.
