We had an extended weekend there and had high hopes for the hotel after recommendations. We came quite late and got room 507. This room is on the back of the hotel and you have to go outside(!) in a courtyard to access it. Not what we expected. The room itself is cosy, but quite small. Bathroom a bit outdated and "used", but nice towels and ammenities. Would have prefered that there were conditioner and not combo though, but that is a detail.. However...the separate toilet looks like something which belongs in a 2 star hotel. We were quite shocked that a hotel like this would even have the "courage" to serve its guests something like this... One could argue that it is just a toilet, but in a 4 star hotel I expect something of a totally different standard than this. If it weren't for the fact that we arrived late and were both tired and hungry, we would have refused to stay there. The breakfast restaurant is very cosy and the buffet is very nice. They serve good coffee or tea by the table. The lounge area is very nice and they serve drinks etc by the table. prices are a little stiff though. When we arrived I found dog food(!!) at the bathroom floor. We don't have a dog at home and we certainly did not bring on, so...surprise! I handed it over to the lady in the reception and was very clumsy about the whole situation. She did not even apologize for what I see as poor cleaning.. I later on reminded one of the other receptionists of this and he said "glad you did not find any more"... I would expect a much more professional behaviour in such a situation. We have stayed at many good hotels and never eperiences anything like this. No apology at all. There is a ski room in the basement and you should ask them to put your skis there right away as they don't automatically do so. From the ski room you come straight into a little mall and the ski lift is just a couple of minutes from the hotel. Very convenient. The hotel is perfectly located in the pedestrian area and is very cosy. We would definitely come back, but never ever again accept a room like that and such clumsy service.…
