Megève: Observe Wildlife - Snowshoeing Trek

Do not be scared! You are not going to follow his tracks, you will just observe him from a quiet place while learning all the aspects of the mountain acrobat and the mountain itself. After a pleasant showshoeing hike and using the telescope, you will maybe have the chance to observe chamois, eagles, ibexes...

Enjoy a traditional and locally sourced picnic lunch in a magical environment and well surrounded!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: The mountain is not a ZOO. Consequently, the observation of the animals is not 100% guaranteed.

I can’t say what the swimming experience is actually like as we never made it past the plethora of rules. We’re on vacation from America and myself and my 2 boys are wearing traditional swim shorts. We were wearing these when we entered and paid and no one said anything. Once we made our way out of the showers we were told at that we couldn’t enter the pools, that we needed to be wearing what we traditionally know as speedos or cycling like shorts. The kind that are skin tight. This despite the fact that many of the lifeguards and staff were wearing the very same type of swim shorts we were. I had already been bellowed at for wearing tennis shoes into the locker rooms. Was I to take them off in the parking lot? We had enough of the attitude and weren’t interest in purchasing approved swim shorts they apparently had for sale. Upon exit, we asked for a our money back and the girl was very rude and quick to point out that there were no refunds referring to the signs stating what type of swimwear is required, on which showed a photo with swim shorts that were an inch or two shorter than we had on. Who could possibly follow this logic. I asked for a manager at which point the girl threw her hands up in disgust. Once the manager came over she sorted our refund. We won’t be back.

This is an outstanding summer activity in the center of Megeve on a hot afternoon with 3-yr old twin boys and a 10-yr old girl.... once you’ve followed all the rules of the place! No strollers allowed past the front door. Husband had American loose-fitting swim trunks. Only tight Lycra and Speedos allowed, so he was forced to buy one of those from a vending machine in the lobby and a seam split open that same day. Flip flops are a must, as street shoes are banned in the changing area. No real shade here so be prepared, but there is a large grassy area to sit in. On the plus side the multiple foot baths and showers necessary to get to the pools are really smart, helping keep the experience clean. There’s a large kiddie slide, children’s water “park” to run around in, a toddler wading pool with nice warm water, and an adult pool. Also snack bar.

Great job on the renovations and extension of the Palais. Wonderful in and outdoor pool facilities, harman and sauna. Outside pool is heated to 34 degrees and you also have 3 little charming sauna huts to relax in in the garden. Clean and well maintained. I saw that they also have a spa with treatments, indoor climbing, ice rink and many other activities on offer. Great alternative when not skiing during the winter.

If you are in Megeve, and are unable to ski, this is an amazing facility to work out in. Beautiful views from every vantage point whether in the pool inside, outside or the workout room. There is so much equipment and it’s in excellent shape! Thank you for making my vacation wonderful.

We spent 5 hrs here today. There are now multiple kids pools and play areas, slides and sand pit. Very enjoyable and only 23 E for a family of 4 so not too expensive. They've done a great job with the renovations. Free lockers
