The bus trip gave us a great snapshot of the city - we were able to hop off at all the spots we wanted for a good look around and discovered places that we decided to come back to. There was a group of school children on the top deck with us and they were so friendly, trying to speak English but making themselves understood however. The bus driver was extremely helpful and friendly, and found us seats up the top after he had settled the previously booked children.It was a wonderful trip and we saw so much

We had taken a river boat tour before and found that this city tour included points of interest that are not visible from river's edge. The bus was clean and the driver was very accommodating. I would recommend this tour to get a great view of the beautiful city of Lyon France..

I usually stay away from sight seeing busses etc but this was really good. It's not really a tram, but a long electric bus with four cubicles. As such it is a bit bumpy and the sound quality of the audio guide is quite bad, but nonetheless it is absolutly worth it as it gets you to the amazing murals and the Roux area which might otherwise be abit hard to get too.

The website is useless. It gives you a timetable without telling you anywhere that some tour times are only for weekends. So you end up waiting at one of their stops forever. Also there is no staff at the main starting point. And in my case, they just suppressed the last ride, without any information at the main starting point, and did I mention no staff? Obviously I cannot tell if the ride is interesting or pleasant, but their service is terrible.

Very excellent and well managed. I definitely recommend it to everyone coming to Lyon. The guide of Vieux Lyon tour was excellent and was in depth of the knowledge of the place. The city tram tour of croix rousse was equally great!!

Excellent really good services in hotel restaurants and tour bus and on public transport .The city is well set up for visitors and easily walkable from site to site .The Christmas Markets were smaller than expected but still good vibe.

Having just come off a cruise in Rome and a flight to Lyon we were a little tired,,,or maybe just lazy, but we decided to spend a day on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. We've done this in other cities to get oriented and have generally had good experiences. On this Monday it was not crowded. The weather was beautiful for sitting up top. The narration via earpieces worked fine and the route took us to parts of the city we had not seen on previous trips to Lyon. The driver was very nice and kept checking on us to make sure we wanted to stay on. Make no mistake, this is no substitute for seeing the other fabulous sights of Lyon like the Traboules but it is a good start.

Try to avoid it if possible, I have used hop on hop off in more than 10 countries, Lyon France’s hop on hop off is the worst.
Staffs was not knowledgeable at all, not wear uniform, you do not know who is staff. You finally asked and know who is staff, he even does not know a location of paid wc just 20 meters away. They just chatting, resting. Do not help customers to answer customer ‘s questions until boarding time, finally start boarding, they started answer questions, kept all other customers waiting outside 30 minutes to be on board. And it was very hot - 32c degree. All waiting outside, inside AC is out of order. They took 2 hours lunch break, how many hours do we have a day as a visitor? They are just too lazy. It is mid September, you call it low season? So it does not worth it at all, do not waste your money and time on it. Make other arrangement.

Hello, thank you for sharing your review with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience with Lyon City Tour didn't go as well as expected. All the members of the Lyon City Tour's staff wear red polo shirts with our black logo writing on it. The buses are running from 9:00 until 16:30 and the drivers only have one hour lunch break starting from 12:00. Even if the buses are stationed on the starting point, the drivers can't let you in until boarding time. During their break, our team have to rest if they want their driving to be optimum all day long. It's part of our concern to assure safety for all our visitors. Despite these elements, we hope that your experience inside the bus allowed you to discover the best places of Lyon and its rich history heritage. However, rest assured that you commentary will help us to improve the quality of the service we want to offer to our visitors. Have a great day!

Departs from Place Bellecour at various times in the day. No service between 1 and 2pm. So check timetable. However excellent way to see and hear all about Lyon & it's history. Tour bus was very clean and commentary was interspaced with French music which really set the scene. 13 stops, you can hop on & hop off. Route takes about 90 mins if stay on for entire loop. 21 euro per adult, well spent. Highly recommended.

I find hop on hop off buses a great way to see the city at first and then to decide what to do in a city. Lyon was no exception. The ride was about an hour and a half and we got to see a great perimter of the city. This allowed me later on to visit sites that I was intrigued by on the bus.
We got to the bus stop about 15 mins early which was good because the bus left the shop 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. So make sure to get there earlier.
English commentary, full of information and easy to follow.
Tickets easy to buy online, and our hotel printed our tickets for us which was even more convenient.
I recommend this activity.

Je voudrais savoir si des enfants entre 6 et 10 ans seront interessés pour cette visite et s'il est possible de faire le circuit sans s'arreter une heure 30 c'est déjà long pour eux. Merci pour votre réponse

Bonjour, en effet vous avez la possibilité de rester dans le bus sans vous arrêter. Concernant les enfants, nous proposons des livrets adaptés aux enfants afin de rendre cette visite plus ludique avec des énigmes à résoudre, des coloriages... À bientôt avec Lyon City Tour !

El ticket es válido únicamente el día en que lo compras o es válido 24? Por ejemplo si lo compro a las 14,00 horas lo puedo usar hasta las 14,00h del día siguiente? Gracias!

Pourquoi est ce si cher,vous mettriez le prix a moitié,vous auriez 4 fois plus de monde,moi personnellement avec ma petite retraite,je ne peux pas y monter,pourtant j'aurais bien aimer y aller

Bonjour, le prix est justifié par la possibilité d'utiliser votre ticket toute la journée, afin de monter et descendre aux différents arrêts proposés pendant le circuit. Si vous cherchez un prix plus abordable, je vous conseille de venir faire le Lyon City Tram, un tour unique d'une heure pour découvrir le quartier de la Croix-Rousse.

Bonjour! Est ce qu'il est possible d'avoir une carte du circuit afin de voir les différents arrêts. J'ai un groupe de 13 personnes ( dont 11 adolescents) qui seront hébergés tout près de la gare Part Dieu et il serait pratique pour eux de pouvoir prendre le bus près de l'hôtel. Merci

Bonjour, vous pouvez retrouver le plan du circuit sur notre site internet, sur la page du Lyon City Bus.
Par contre, le bus ne s'arrête pas près de la gare Part-Dieu, l'arrêt le plus proche serait l'arrêt numéro 3, près de la place des Terreaux. A bientôt avec Lyon City Tour !

If you buy the duo pass for the city bus and city tram, is it unlimited use of both over two days? Or do you have to use the bus one day and the tram the next? How many trips/circuits of each can you do?

Hello,
With the Duo Pass you have unlimited use for the Lyon City Bus during two days but the Lyon City Tram can only be used one time, the first day or the second day.

Il bus hop on hop off ha guida registrata in 8 lingue tra cui anche l'italiano. Il tram della croix rousse ha il commento solo in francese, inglese e spagnolo

Dear Natalia our buses work during the day . We have special tours by night from June the 22nde to september the 17th only on thursdays and sundays.
At the moment we have 4 departures a day ( untill April the 2nd) and from April the 2nd we'll have more departure from Place Bellecour.You have all the information on our website
