I arrived in Lyon on the evening of 15 June, Wed. The next day I went to SFR and Orange at the Westfield La Part Dieu to get a prepaid SIM. Both shops told me I could only buy them from a tabac. So off I went and found a Tabac du Metro at the Westfield la Part Dieu. It was a terrible mistake and a very unpleasant experience. I don’t speak French. When I approached the counter and asked for a SIM card, the woman shopkeeper was very very rude. I figured she said no English but the rest I had no clue. With a help of a customer I bought a Lyca SIM from her. Begrudgingly, I had to get one on the spot so I could contact my friends for our meeting point. Honestly, I had never ever seen such a rude human being. She treated me as if I were a homeless beggar. I couldn’t help but ask her what’s wrong with her and why she was so rude to me. She just ignored me. The Lyca pack is all in French. I didn’t know what to do with it. She shooed me off.
I then walked around the shopping mall trying to see if I could get any help from SFR or Orange. Obviously not because Lyca was not their product. Suddenly I saw an APPLE store. I went in and asked for help. There, an angel appeared. Her name is Yasmina Sahiri. Not only was she helpful, she was so patient to help me set up the Lyca account so I could activate the SIM card. I spent 30+ minutes at the store bothering her. She was exceptionally patient and all along cheerful. I wish Lyon could have more people like her. She is definitely an asset to the Apple team. She even apologised for the ‘bitchy’ woman at the Tabac, who is a shame of the retail business and Lyon. I would definitely tell all my friends and acquaintances not to buy anything from this shop. If anybody could tell me where I could file a complaint about her behavior I would have no hesitation to do so. Such a terrible woman.

La Part-Dieu Shopping Center is a huge shopping centre. Inside you will find everything you would see in any other big shopping centre around the world, probably much more. We paid it a quick visit and found it is easy to get disorientated if you are there for the first time. Worth a visit if shopping is your thing.

A very good Shopping centre. Lots of different kinds of shops, something for everyone.
We spent most of our time in Lafayette but basically, even with huge discounts, clothes were ridiculously expensive- London is much better value!
We couldn't wait to leave.

Hugh shopping centre with great facilities and very clean.Coffee shops,Food court,high street shops,smaller shops etc.Every time I have visited Part Dieu it is always packed with People.Great centre to spend an afternoon shopping with shops to cater for all pockets.Easily reached by transport (Car /Metro)Highly recommended if you are in Lyon.

Lots of young people hanging around and cheap stores. If you don't like crown don't go on week end.
Want shopping ? Go to bellecour or cordelier, more boutiques, fresh air and typical old buildings.

For those who come from US and find a great quality material and design clothes, and still reasonable price, the shopping mall can be a perfect place. Note that, regarding cosmetics... it’s worth not to buy there because US has much cheaper.

It's a huge shopping centre but difficult to get around because of the crowds. You can't just walk around and browse peacefully. You're always trying to avoid bumping into someone. There are all kinds of people and despite the security I didn't feel safe. I felt like I had to hold on to my belongings very tightly so I don't get robbed. The mall isn't user friendly. The signs are confusing and finding a bathroom is an ordeal. Once you do find the bathroom, you have to pay to have access to it. We've got so many fantastic malls in Canada and the US. This one just wasn't worth the effort.

We do our best to improve traffic flow in the center, but we advise you to avoid if possible the hours of great affluence as Saturday afternoon for example. Ideally and if you can try to visite our shopping centre the morning it's more peaceful.
For the toilet we invite you to create your loyalty card of the center. It is free and allows you lot's of benefits like free access to the toilets but also offers in many brands. You can do it either via our website or directly at the reception of the center at level 0
We will be delighted to welcome you again in our Shopping Center.

Went there before Christmas so it was nicely decorated. The mall is huge so you can find any chain store you can imagine. However I was hoping to find some unique store and I couldn't find those. I understand the comments about some questionnable group of people within the mall.

The Part-Dieu shopping center is near the train station. If you have a at you can park there easily and then use public transportation to visit Lyon. The mall is like any mall. If you need to shop you will be very happy, there are a lot of stores!

I guess my answer comes way too late, I just came back on TripAdvisor... But no, the mall is not opened on Sundays, it is opened 09:30 to 20:00 Monday to Saturday
