This is a great marché (market) with a large variety of food vendors. I particularly enjoyed the artisan cookie and frommage (cheese) vendors who happily offered samples. It made the market a lot of fun. *Typically cash only. Bring change it small bills.*
Open door markets may not be everyone's cup of tea because they can be busy and overcrowded with less space than you wish for in the passageways. But that is also the charm of places like these.

This is a great food market. The range and quality is outstanding - meat, veg, fruit - it has it all. All vendors were very helpful in terms of the language barrier. This is the place to enjoy Lyon like the locals

If you want to feel like you are a citizen of Lyon, please visit this fresh market!!! You will find fresh and healthy food, flowers, vine... the market is cheap and you can find bars around to get a coffee and take some rest!!!
If it's your only chance. Otherwise, hold off for somewhere else. Great and convenient if you live there and actually want food to cook and eat, but there are better markets elsewhere for a tourist stroll.
