A great area for shopping and looking at sights, but when it comes to restaurants there quite a few good once, but watch out for the tourist traps also. I love staying in this area, it was nice, clean and beautiful.

This is the neighborhood which is between the Rhone and the Saone rivers, a peninsula that has the main shopping district for Lyon. Our hotel Mercure Centre Beaux Arts was wonderful, and I can't imagine a better spot to center your trip. Great shopping convenient to the Metro, great restaurants.

The area covered the peninsula in the middle, including the unesco heritage sire of the old town, many beautiful historic buildings flanked the sides of the two rivers, beautiful in day and night.

All one every hears about France is Paris and palaces. The Presqu'ile is a gem. So happy we stayed here and ate around here. If you really want to have French food you MUST come to Lyon.

So many things to see and do. The must to see. And you'll have a wonderful view on the Fourvière hill with it's cathedral.

I was here during the day but ventured out a night. The building is pretty cool lit up at night. Worth taking a stroll by if you need to lose some calories after a heavy Lyonaise dinner!

It's hard to review this rather huge area. All there is to say that this is the centre of Lyon and this is where a lot of things happen. If you're visiting Lyon you will most likely spend some time at the Presqu'ile where there are a lot of restaurants and stores for everyone!

This is the perfect location for visiting Lyon. Choose a hotel near Place Bellecour and have easy access to the Metro as well as the Old City.
