On our free tours, your local guide will show you all the highlights of the lovely city of Lyon. During our tours, you will learn about the history of the city, but also about the food, the local culture and legends. We will explain you where the best 'Bouchon' are, take you through hidden passegeways called 'traboules' and show you all the hidden courtyards and charming pieces of architecture. After our tours, you will have a good impression of the city. We love to give recommendations for the rest of your stay. Lyon is an amazing city with stuff to do for everybody. There are some great museums, parks, shops, churches, bars, markets and restaurants. We will point you in the right direction! We have two tours: the Vieux Lyon tour and the City tour. Both are great! Check our website to reserve or to find the meeting points.

Loved this informal but very informative introduction to Lyon. Comprehensive in scope, the tour includes both the old city, the peninsula, and even an architecturally unique underground parking garage. Well worth the time to do.

Paul provided an outstanding tour of Lyon! My daughter and I took 2 tours of Lyon with Paul during our December holiday visit to the Lights Festival of Lyon. We learned so many facts about Lyon and gained a wealth of information from both tours through Paul’s expert knowledge! Paul took us on a 2 hour tour through areas of the city that we would have never located on our own and included incredible stories that brought the city to life.
I highly recommend taking Paul’s walking tour of Lyon to experience the best hidden gems available in the city of Lyon!

We did both tours and we loved them! (Moreover the two tours do not overlap, which is rare when a city has more tours). I've been on many "free" walking tours all over Europe and Paul was one of the best guides so far! Lyon is very small but he found plenty of interesting informations and stories to share. He has such a love for the city that he made us want to move to Lyon!

I always book a walking tour when I arrive in a new city and because these tours are usually free, you never really know what you will get.
This tour with Paul was extremely informative and fun. It was just enough time and effort to remain engaged and excited.
I definitely enjoyed it and would recommend joining at least one of his tours to learn something new.

Paul was an amazing guide! He provided an historical perspective as well as pointing out the famous sites. The tips on how to navigate the city and restaurants were very appreciated.
We enjoyed his tour so much, we signed up for a second because he focuses on 2 parts of the city. In both cases we learned/saw things we had not fully appreciated when we toured on our own.
I would highly recommend both of Paul’s tours and would give him more stars if I could.

Paul did an excellent job of providing a mix of historical info, tips and advise, all with a good touch of humour. He speaks loudly so our large group could hear and kept a good pace. We left feeling more prepared and organized for our next couple days. One of the better 'free tours' we've done! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 2 hours with Paul! He explained a variety of different things of Lyon, from its history to cuisines with full of humor.
More than anything, it was great that we could feel his passion and love for this city throughout his guide! I am sure that this made the tour even more enjoyable.
We strongly recommend to join his tour and we are sure that you will be able to enjoy being in this ancient city much more!

I bought the Complete Guide to Lyon before my trip and to my delight discovered the author Paul offers free walking tours and what a great way to explore the city.

Absolutely amazing! Paul does two different tours, and after the first one (Vieux Lyon), I was so impressed I changed my plans to come back the next day for the other one (City tour). It is definitely worth doing both, because they explore different areas and Paul has so much interesting things to share about Lyon, that none of it repeats between the tours. Recommend it 110%, absolutely the best way to get a feel for Lyon.

Paul is a gifted storyteller. As you walk around Lyon, Paul tells stories about the culture, history, people and food of Lyon. I actually went on both tours- and each is unique. On both tours, Paul takes you through several traboules (underground passage ways). I give Paul’s walking tours 3 Michelin stars (the highest rating), i.e., it’s worth a special trip to Lyon to take a walking tour with Paul. Thank you Paul!

Hi there. Apologies for getting back to you so late. Old Lyon is mostly stone buildings and narrow streets. It got warm in April especially in the afternoon when we were there so I think that in the summer heat, it would get quite hot. There are however shaded areas (restaurants, plazas, tress) where you can take a break from the hot sun. Because you are in between 2 rivers and a mountain, I felt that there was a constant mild breeze.
