If you are a cheese lover, La Fromagerie Les Alpages is the best place in Grenoble to buy cheese. Bernard Mur, the owner is one of France's Meilleurs Ouvriers de France as well as International Caseus Award. You won't be disappointed!

Yes, it is almost certainly the best cheese shop in the area. But you need to have a bit of time... for the queues.

The selection of cheeses was almost overwhelming but in a delicious sort of way. Shop keepers were happy and there was a small group of locals shopping! You can also get charcuterie and a small selection of wines. Perfect stop to pick a picnic!
