If you have a spare half hour or so then this is a great way to see the history of the French Resistance. Lots of photo's AND all in English too. Rather graphic pictures at the end so bear that in mind if you have...More

Having read about resistance movements in Europe during the second World War I was very excited to find this museum. Entry was free and the exhibits were set out over 3 floors. Information was predominantly in French with German and English translations (summaries?) given in...More

Museum is interesting with some very nice displays, but the organization is somewhat confusing- not a chronological and systematic approach instead leaving you wanting to research more at home. French and English for almost all simplifies the reading! Staff are friendly and the museum is...More

Showing the local events and people who were part of the French resistance during WW2. The descriptions were in 3 languages, French English and German making it very accessible to alot of tourists.

This is a moving museum with a well balanced mix of multimedia (for both adults and kids) and primary resources. Lots of original footage, and fascinating displays, well described in English and French. Very balanced presentations of collaboration, resistance, treachery.

Interesting to read about the resistance and Grenable's role in WW2. Nice that the exhibits are translated into English, although the font was too small for me to read comfortably. Free entry

THe museum traces the history of Grenoble from 1933 looking at life before, during and after the occupation of the town by the Nazis. Grenoble was also occupied by the Italians before the Germans moved in in 1942. Well worth a visit.
