A bit outside the traditional places to visit this nature parc offers everything any other more popular parc has but in a more "relaxed" environment. Hiking, sports, all is available but without the waiting queus you get elsewhere. Some spectacular mountain views free on top! Just go there and check it out.

We have the opportunity of visiting this area every two years. We have a friend who lives in Grenoble, and knows the lay of the land like the back of his hand. We have our own local tour guide each time we visit. There is something new with each visit. This summer, we got to share this beautiful area with... More

Very quiet nature reserve that offers a wide variety of beautiful landscapes. Perfect for artists, sportive people (hiking, running and cycling) and nearby ski-resorts. I ould recommend a 3-day visit and enjoy the different spots of the park. Each location offers new but different views on the fascinating landscape. There is some tourism, but the region is much more quiet... More

We hiked the north trail near Ferme Durand, starting and ending near Sassenage, and it was great. But what was best is that you have at least 5-6 good day-trip loops as well as possibilities for through-hiking. Grenoble is a fantastic "home base" for this.

We've just returned from a week spent cycling in the Vercors. It was amazing, the views are stunning, the people very friendly, so much to see. THe roads can be a little challenging driving (google gorges du bourne or Combe laval for pictures!) but perfectly acheivable if you take care. And the views - wow. I'd definitely recommend it as... My husband and I were only in Grenoble for a day and the first thing we decided to do was go to the Parc Naturel Regional du Vercors. The first order of business was to stop at the tourist office and get a map. The parc is huge and if we did not have the map we would still be... More

If you are a mountain/nature lovers you definitely can't miss it. Not far from Grenoble you will discover amazing little typical village with awesome food, parks, canyons and caves. For hiking or just to have a pleasant walk. You can enjoy the views with canyons and even small water falls. Do not miss the cave of Chorange it is definitely... More
