I just love this area. We've stayed in the French side (as Switzerland is very expensive). Around the lake there are many vinyards and many small villages. The views from each side are different but beautiful. you cannot go wrong if you go there. there...More

The boat cruise from the pier in front of the casino is a total yawn. The boat is electric - which might be environmentally good but means you go so slowly that you barely cover 1km on the so called cruise and get to see...More

Took the family and grand daughter for a walk along from Thonon to Evian along the lakeside, although chilly in November, the lake was stunningly calm and clear and the views range from eerie in the mist to quite beautiful with the sun shine. All...More

The lake is huge and beautiful. The one can do lots of things here - Sailing, hiking, jogging. The best thing to do is drinking wine and seizing the moment.

I like coming to Evian on a sunny day and walk along the lake before going for a great lunch. I usually come from Lausanne Switzerland which opposite Evian on the other side of the lake and the trip takes about a half hour. Great...More

Explore this beautiful part of the lake by walk from Montreux Station to Chillon Castle. Take a picture with a Freddie Mercury's statue and ride a boat. There is not a second to regret here!

The views of this big, beautiful lake are absolutely incredible. We drove around the lake from both directions. It is breathtaking in its beauty, for not only is the lake gorgeous the surrounding mountains are majestic.

We could only make a cruise from Geneve, but we prefer to choose this route crossing the border Switzerland-France through the Lake Leman. The medieval village of Yvoire is very charming. A beautiful place to walk around.

Pretty and serene! I crossed it from Ouchy to Évian-les-Bains thru a ferry boat. And, just like that, I’ve crossed the border from Switzerland to France. Amazing how 2 countries can be connected by a lake. I think it will be prettier in spring, summer...More
