This year was my 6th trip to Meribel and each time I have taken my own ice skates to be able to skate on this lovely rink. As someone who normally skates regularly on a very small rink it is such a treat to be able to skate on this Olympic size rink. I did have some criticism about this year's visit though. They now open at 4pm instead of 3pm which is not very convenient when you're staying in a chalet that serves tea and cake at 4.30. I can't ski all day and used to spend 1.5 hours on the ice most days but this year I had to reduce that to 30 - 40 minutes or miss tea which was a nuisance. Normally the ice is very well maintained so it was disappointing to go one afternoon to find that the ice was very cut up after being used for hockey training I think. They didn't bother to re-do the ice before the public session started.
On the whole though this is a fab rink with good quality ice and it's not too expensive.

Throughly enjoyed spending time at the ice rink with my family. Ice skates aren't the most comfortable or well fitting but once you have been round a few times it's great fun (but painful when you fall over!)

Fun to skate on an olympic rink, a little soulless as so big, but impressive nonetheless, and great to combine with a trip to the bowling afterwards

This ice rink is a good place to take the kids when the weather is bad. It's nothing special, but the ice is well maintained and the equipment available for hire is perfectly serviceable.

Bowling - website says the centre is open all day to 2am. We made a special trip mid afternoon only to find the bowling centre was closed to the public as there was filming taking place. Incredibly poor management - lots of people were turning up as it was snowing & cloudy so poor ski-ing conditions.
