It's much cheaper than taking the tram to Augille du Midi, and same views. I did not ski down, but I went up to get the views and a drink on top of the mountain. Felt safe in it, which is good because I have a fear of heights. They did pack us in like sardines. A definite must do... More

Be early with the Planpraz and enter the Brevent cable car first, and you will have the great slope back down with fresh tracks. You can do 3-4 runs before the crowd wakes up! Backside of Brevent often provide excellent snow days after snow-fall, since it is there in the shade.

Fast access to a huge system towards la Flégère, not crowded and south facing. Black and red pists, so good skiing!

There are two cable cars to the top- and a restaurant to eat at for those who want to enjoy the view. The ski from the top in challenging but not too bad. The car is not as full as others and thus you can actually breathe and enjoy the view on the way up

Great to visit also if you're not a skier. Have a beer or a soup up there on one of the most stunning terraces I've ever been to.
