We arrived Chamonix the night before very late due to TGV delay. So on the 2nd day, we started late morning. We walked from Chamonix to the lake for 30min. The lake is more like a pond, but peaceful and pretty with ducks swimming around....More

A lovely tranquil place to sit and enjoy a nice pic-nic. The lake is really beautiful especially with Mont Blanc in the background.

Right next to les gaillands climbing area. Rather polished rock but fun and easily accessed. The lake is a good spot to chill after a climb and soak in the atmosphere.

It is a small beautiful lake on foot of Mond Blanc. Behind was the forest and the color of the lake was green. Sometimes red trains passed through and it made a beautiful scene. There was a parking space and toilet accross the street.
