Breathtaking, Must Visit

View of this mountain from Chamonix is nice, but is worth visiting Aiguille du Midi for a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc summit on a clear day.

It was like being on top of the world. We experienced rain, snow, and cold, but we were dressed for it. We would have preferred sun and warmth, but you play the cards that are dealt. What we were able to see was awesome. One should acclimate to the altitude before you go up the mountain.

We stopped half way to get on another cable car to go to the summit quite cold at top so need warm clothes but a photo opportunity. The mont blanc... More

Beautiful view is an understatement ! It's awesome. We went on a lovely clear weather day and could see as far as the eye could see awesome mountain views. It was overcrowded in the gondola and we went in the morning. If you can wait til noon or afternoon would be a better time I think. Don't miss this if... More

Now after visiting so many famous mountain resorts in the summertime I can pinpoint what sets Chamonix apart. It is the glacier and snow peaked views from within the valley. The views are breathtaking from all over with a nice mix of white snow, glaciers and a lush green tree canopy.....and Mont Blanc is a must see on any visit.... More

Looking up from the streets of Chamonix is such eye candy that many people do not go up top to be on Europe's tallest peak. Pity that. But the real crime is that the "sea of ice" is now only the dried up brook of slush. If it's too warm here to ski where do you go?
