We took the cable car from Chamonix to the top .Up there it was exhilarating ! The view all around was breathtaking and incredibly beautiful ! While there you must watch the wonderful film they show on how the mountaintop facilities were made , over extremely difficult terrain .

The Mt Blanc Circuit is an incredible 8 or 12 day hike depending on whether you do the whole hike or just the highlights. Its especially important to pick the right travel company if you are going to do it guided. Whilst our tour guide was wonderful on our first night when we arrived at our accommodations they had not... More

I joined a group of hikers through a company called KE Adventures and we hiked the high level UMB (Ultimate Mont Blanc) Trail. It gave us terrific views of Mont Blanc from France, Italy and Switzerland. A tough hike but hike but well worth the effort. Mont Blanc is a beautiful mountain.

A great day out and once we got to the top of the mountain, taking 2 cable cars, the views were amazing and it was so quiet and peaceful. We had to get a timed ticket to go up and then back down but the time at the top was just about right. We also went to see the ice cave which... More

As we drove through the Chamonix valley, many of us were wondering which mountain was actually Mont Blanc. In the summer this is easy- it's the one with all the snow on! It sits within a range of 3/4 other peaks though so if you want to know for sure, have a little look on a map and you will... More

A sight to be seen absolutely stunning when the sun hits the top of the mountain in the morning. it looks like gold, something that has to be seen.

I recently completed a guided hiking tour through Country Walkers of the "Tour de Mont Blanc," a series of trails / treks totalling ~170 km (depending on which routes are taken) at 4,000-8,500 feet elevation around the mountain range surrounding Mont Blanc. This is pretty rigorous hiking, accurately described in the Country Walkers literature as "challenging." The scenery is beautiful,... More

We would do this trek again tomorrow! Absolutely sublime scenery! We chose the self guided option, so we had max flexibility and the support we wanted. UTracks sorted the accommodation and arranged luggage transfer from one accomm to the next. They provide great maps and route notes, so you don't have to spend hours planning. Great value too!
