WOW! I've been buzzing all week. All I can say is don't think about doing this. Just go for it. It's amazing. You'll feel in totally safe hands with Sean, who's been paragliding for the best part of 30 years. I wasn't the slightest bit nervous. He talked through everything calmly and professionally, and explained what was happening without getting too technical. I barely remember the take-off. One minute Sean was telling me to run - the next we just soared up into the sky above Chamonix. The turns, the rush of the wind, the mind-blowing views: it's all incredible. My only complaint is that it had to end. Five stars all around. Thank you so much Sean.

During our stay in Chamonix we had kept an eye on the weather and on Thursday decided that Saturday would be a good day to do a tandem jump. I contacted 2 companies that showed availability on their websites and they came back as no sorry full. I then had an email from Sean at Fly Chamonix who said sorry we cannot accommodate you at 1pm as you requested but we can do 10:30am. It was a fast yes please from me and we were so grateful that Sean had managed to find 3 other pilots so the whole family could fly at the same time. We arrived at the meeting point at the base of the Aguille du Midi cable car and met Sean and the other pilots and went up to the jump position and we were all kitted out and prepared for the flight. It was super comfortable and you could really relax and enjoy the simply stunning views. We flew close to the glacier and then I was able to take the chute for a while and steer. Landing with a smooth hop skip and a jump I then watched the rest of my family land - my 2 kids age 10 and 14 had an absolutely amazing time - in the air for a good 15/20 mins. Big shout out to Sean for making that most amazing experience possible with his extra effort to fit us in, and also to Patrice who made our 10 year old daughter relaxed and happy to do such a brave and adventurous experience. You guys are the best.

What an amazing experience! It is a must do activity if you are in the area. Fly Chamonix are very professional, very helpful, nice and they make sure that you are having fun. They are also very prompt in replying back in their emails. We paid for the video and the pictures, to keep the memory, which is definitely worth it as alot of great shots where captured. The views seen are indescribable. Definitely recomend this company for this experience. Thank you!

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. Thank you for the wonderful glide through the beautiful skies with the most amazing views. Sean was very professional and made the whole experience relaxing and was so very helpful not only during the flight but with information on surrounding area. Here to echo all the glowing reviews of Fly Chamonix! Sean and his pilot partners made my first time paragliding an absolutely unforgettable experience. It’s easy to tell that these guys have been doing this for decades. Sean is super friendly, highly communicative, and knows all the ins and outs of paragliding. It was a lightly cloudy day when were were scheduled to fly - Sean patiently waited for a good weather window and gave me clear instructions on how to take off. We flew over the nearby glacier, many stunning waterfalls, and even some local wildlife! Sean is a fantastic aerial tour guide!
Before our flight, I mentioned that I had a friend or two coming up the tram to watch me take off. Sean asked if any of them wanted to fly and arranged for one of my good friends to fly with Francis, another pilot. We got to fly together! Francis was also awesome and even shared a chocolate bar with us at the landing site. Can’t say enough good things about this experience! Book it now, you’ll love it!

It was an absolute pleasure flying with Sean from Fly Chamonix. It was easy arranging the flight and he gave me all the information I needed. The flight itself was truly spectacular and very smooth. Sean’s instruction put me completely at ease throughout the flight and I even had a go at the controls. The views are really incredible and I have a great video to remember the day. I would definitely give Fly Chamonix a call next time I am in the area for another flight, and would highly recommend them; they really offer a superb, professional and friendly experience.

A fantastic experience, launched from the Aguille du Midi in beautiful sunshine. Having wanted to do a tandem jump for a few years, the opportunity to jump from over 10,000 feet was not to be missed.
Descending the arrette in big boots and crampons was the most difficult part, but our guide was very helpful.
Sean explained everything in detail and after a determined run, we ascended smoothly and began a detailed tour of the peaks nearby, the mer de glace and the bosson glacier. A few aerial stunts and a beautifully controlled descent into Chamonix was the finale to this amazing morning.
I would highly recommend Sean Potts - Fly Chamonix!

I originally went to Chamonix solely for skiing (my first time ever) but as skiing was only in the morning I was looking for things to fill the rest of my day. Came across Fly Chamonix just as I got on my flight and sent through the booking request. By the time I landed in Geneva (less than 2 hours) everything had been confirmed.
Didn’t get to fly on the original day I wanted due to weather but communication was excellent so I was able to adjust my plans appropriately and Sean (my pilot) did everything possible to ensure I got the experience before I left Chamonix (literally moved mountains!).
The paragliding itself I can’t even describe with words. Breathtaking to say the least. Excellent instructions and guidance all the way. Surprisingly felt safer 2000 metres in the air compared with skiing at 1000m haha. Such a peaceful flight, took plenty of pictures and videos, got to drive the paraglide myself and even got a taste of some midair acrobatics. The views? Unreal. Honestly one of the best things I have ever done and I want everyone else to experience it. If you’re ever in Chamonix, take an hour or two out of your day to see the mountains from up in the sky. You won’t regret it.

My 1st paragliding, Sean explained everything clearly, his style is very relaxed but you can tell he knows everything. I am quite a big guy at 6 ft 1 and 94 kilos, it was no problem and we had a good start and landing. I sis the video on the go pro for a few more Euros, well worth the money. Brilliant experience, thank you.

Unbelievable experience… Sean communicated very well up until the day of our paraglide and answered any questions we had. Our pilots Thomas and Xavier were great fun and very calm throughout the whole flight (despite Anne almost ending up in the trees!) and provided us with great footage and photos with views of Mont Blanc and its surroundings on the GoPro’s. Overall a surreal experience and something we would love to do again one day in Chamonix.

Are there weight restrictions for tandem paragliding?

Yes, in the summer our maximum weight is 95 kg, in the winter we can take heavier passengers as we are taking off & landing in snow (it is softer than the grass !). If passengers are very athletic but heavy then we can make exceptions so it is best to contact us directly when booking to discuss.

Will be in Chamonix in August. Do I need to book paragliding ahead of time? Best time of day. I have never done this before so I am open to recommendations

Hello, Yes, it is best to book ahead especially as August is one of the busiest times of year.
We can fine tune the flight time to suit you (based on age / weight etc) and allocate an English speaking pilot. Last minute booking makes it hard to do all of this.
If we cannot fly due to poor weather, you do not pay us anything so there is no need to wait for the last minute before deciding based on the weather forecast.
To make a reservation, please contact us via the our website or use our online booking (no need to pay in advance or pay a deposit).
The FAQ page on the Fly Chamonix website offers lots of info & answers questions that you will never have thought of !

I can see a few pictures taken by your staff (I presume?) during the flight. Are pictures at an extra cost? Also are we allowed to take our own go pros and film/take our own pictures?

take your
own go pro is fine (at your risk). i did this and it's highly recommended, though try to be careful
of the microphone position to reduce wind noise. it's an amazing trip and worth recording some of it

Hi, Trip Advisor does not allow us to write e.mail addresses or websites here so if you just go to our website & click on the text "e.mail Fly Chamonix" then this will open up an e.mail message window on your computer & you will be able to e.mail us. We receive almost a hundred e.mails (mainly unwanted !) each day so I cannot see why yours cannot get through.

Hi. You need to reserve in advance (by e.mail is easiest) this takes about three minutes. Our regular flights from the Brevent ski area in Chamonix, last around 20 mins and you need to allow one hour for the whole event.
