Struggle to understand why this cable car closed for the summer season on 6 September. The walk between it & the Planpraz Cable Car Station is described in guides as one of the best walks in the Chamonix area & on 10 September we passed well into 3 figures of walkers coming in the opposite direction. In fact it is... More

Taking this cable more then once, we were pleasently surprised by the politeness and friendliness of the staff. All spoke english, too. Keep it up!

This inexpensive and short ride up the mountain puts you into some fantastic mountain scenery and connects with the TMB.

We arrived at Noon at the height of the tourist season in August. There was a very long line so we hit their bathroom and continued on our great walk along the river.

We didn't have to wait long before the lift carried us to the top. The views are amazing, and if you are able the hike down is worth a try. We usually stop off at le fleur cafe for a treat. Cost of cable car very reasonable, would highly recommend.

Comfortable, smooth ride with efficient service from Compagnie du Mont Blanc. Take the bus from Chamonix to Les Praz to get this lift. It's worth doing the balcon hike from Flegere to Plan Praz - takes about 3 hours... not too difficult with great views of Mont Blanc

The Flegere lift is a great start to a stunning traverse back down the valley to PlanPraz. This direction of travel means that you get a continual view of Mont Blanc across the valley. The dog ran free and loved the walk, there are some step sections but it is mostly flat (ish). Very worth doing

Being on the opposite side to the Big mountains including Mont Blanc, you are rewarded with a real nice panorama. If the weather helps it presents an excellent photography opportunity.
