We had done the Tour de Mont Blanc with Ella as our guide (June 2018). She was knowledgeable, organized, cheerful, conscientious and kind. Immediately following that exceptional trip we decided to hire Patagoniatiptop to lead our group of 6 on a hike in Patagonia (Dec 2019). It was more than perfect! Everything was beautifully organized and guided by Ella. She worked with us to customize our trip, taking everyone’s wishes into consideration. The result was a varied, interesting, smoothly run vacation providing us with memories of a lifetime. Ella even got wonderful weather for us!!Thank you Ella, you are the best guide!!

I went with a friend on a 9-day trek organized and led by Ella from Patagoniatiptop. We had both hiked with Ella in the Alps last summer and enjoyed her fun, safe, and caring approach on that trip, and it was the same experience this time. The Portugal hike was a bit out of the box from the typical vacations to take, however it turned out to be a lot of fun and satisfying - very unique landscapes; long but manageable hikes; surprisingly great dining and drinking available.
Ella was a great guide throughout the trek, making sure our accommodations and restaurant reservations were made so we didn't have to worry about it, as well as transportation whenever we weren't hiking (mostly transport vans and taxis as Portugal does not have an extensive train system). We stayed at great hotels/inns at each location, each seemed curated to be special and authentic.
The tour starts and finishes in Lisbon, with about 70 miles of hiking over 6 days. There are a few sections where we took a van to our trail head or to the hotel (the last day back to Lisbon is a 3 hour drive). The tour included two guided city walks on the first and second day that informed us about history and culture of Lisbon and Portugal. After that we were on the trail each day.
I was definitely happy and satisfied with the experience. The trip agenda was seamless and fully arranged while also engaging and challenging so I didn't feel like I was just a tourist moving to the next stop. The ability to find great seafood and wine at each village ensured it was still a vacation. Ella takes special care to make sure each individual has something for them and is having fun.
Would recommend to those who want an adventure but still like to be pampered at the end of the day.

Absolutely fantastic week in the Chamonix Valley ....Ella is an amazing teacher/coach. She is very good at getting you to identify your own issues and always has a variety of ideas for helping to you get to a solution.
At the end of the week I realised just how logical a progression we had been on and how effectively the learning points had been subtly embedded. We also had fantastic fun....it’s great to discover you are never too “mature” to learn and improve!

Ella was recommended to me as a hiking guide to celebrate my birthday over 3 nights and 4 days. From the very first contact, Ella was attentive to detail and sensitive to our wishes. She arranged a perfect tour to suit our levels, creating a fantastic few days in the Aletsch Glacier region. We stayed in delightful huts, and a contemporary hotel up in the mountains. Her knowledge of the mountains and wildlife/flora was in-depth and fascinating. Just the right amount of challenge and culture added (Villa Cassel) and we all felt empowered in our own ways by the experience she gave us. Birthday cake, candles and presents, Ella arranged it all. She is the best guide ever!

We just finished an incredible hike on the Rota Vicentina, The Fishermen's Trail.
Beginning with two interesting days in Lisbon, exploring the city and tasting the local food and wine, we then shuttled down to Porto Covo to being our hike along with this stunning coastline. Ella is a wonderful guide - this is my fourth trip with her. She is collaborative, knowledgeable and accommodating. She planned an amazing experience for us, allowing our group to comfortably explore a unique and special area of Portugal. I can't wait to plan my next trip with her!

Federico was my guide for two days in the Chamonix area. We did some practice on the first day, ski-touring and off-piste skiing. On the second day we climbed up the total of 1,400 vertical metres (two mountain passes) and skied back down into the valley.
I absolutely enjoyed the experience.
Federico knows exactly how to strike the right balance between the levels of challenge and support. He is highly professional, patient and pleasant to deal with. I feel my ski-touring skills improved under his guidance even in such a short time.
I will definitely ask Federico to be my guide in the future when/if I'm back in Chamonix.

I was lucky that Patagoniatiptop was offering a half Tour du Mont Blanc. From the very get go, our guide Ella was very helpful preparing for the trip. During the hike, Ella was great sharing all the knowledge and answering our questions. She was very patient and definitely knew what she was doing guiding us through the well planned itinerary. I highly recommend Ella and Patagoniatiptop for your future trips.

Court trip with Ella. The trip was well planned with great accommodations. The weather was not so good but she was able to alter hikes and even included city tours that were wonderful. We lost some baggage and she was relentless in dealing with the airline. Her smile and demeanor made even bad weather enjoyable.

This was our 3rd trip with Ella and, as usual, she did a fantastic job of making our trip wonderful!
We hiked from Garmisch,Germany to Hall, Austria and, in spite of some rain and snow, Ella made it fun. We stopped at cute little cafes along our route for lunch, stayed in great hotels in the evenings and saw some beautiful scenery. In Hall, the oldest medieval city in Austria, because weather prevented our hike we spent time in this historic city going to their market, visiting museums and staying in a wonderful family owned boutique hotel.
I can’t say enough about how experienced and knowledgeable Ella is as she puts together these amazing trips!!

Okay, I'll make this easy.
In 2022 we hiked the Tour de Mont Blanc with Patagoniatiptop. If we would have experienced even a slight bit of dissatisfaction, we would have tried a different guide for subsequent trips or maybe given up on hiking the Alps.
We didn't. in 2023 we came back and hiked in the Dolomites. With Patagoniatiptop. Again, we had a great trip- absolutely wonderful. And if it hadn't been great, we might look for another guide service, or maybe give up on the Alps.
Next year we're looking at Chamonix to the Matterhorn. Or an Alpine hike in Austria/Germany.
With Patagoniatiptop.
