It was wonderful experience, It is the highest peak in Europe, about 14000 ft height, at this height you may feel air hunger or bit of suffocation at sometime.Better not to carry kids to this level.Up to 8000 ft you travel by cable car ,and lifts.ideal to travel by morning and it takes about 2-3 hrs to return, panoramic view

The Chamonix valley is wonderful to visit during the summer: the hotels provide free transportation cards on trains and buses in the area making it easy to reach different lifts to explore the mountains. The Mont Blanc is so beautiful and dramatic and the views are amazing . Good paths making walking accessible.

Don't miss the chance to see! I went in summer because I hate winter but wanted to see high point of Europe ! So glad I did. Incredible vistas pea size ice climbers ( oh why do they choose that sport)? So peaceful and spectacular !

Lovely place. Spent an afternoon browsing and shopping. Great views towards the mountain tops and plenty of restaurants for long lunches.

Wonderful place. The scenery is so beautiful, beyond words. Buy a multi pass for the cable cars. The views at the top are breath taking. There is plenty to do and see. It is a nice size so you can wonder round . Lots of great pubs and places to eat. Very friendly. Don't take a car as you will... More

A summer hiker's paradise. Beautiful town with a river running through the center. Lively night life with many great cafes, bars and restaurants. Lots of great climbing gear stores in case you forgot your hiking shoes or poles.

The town of Chamonix is a cute little town in the middle of the alps. It is designed for tourists, and definitely not for anyone looking for an authentic Swiss town. It is not cheap, but is worth seeing.
