Le Jardin de l'Europe is a beautiful and large park, an unmissable place for rest and relaxation. Ideal for families, for a picnic next to the lake, or if you want to go dor walks. It is a magnificient setting, I advise to go in spring or summer season, when the sun is back, to eat ice cream. Or you can assist to different activities proposed by the city, like creation of contemporary art, or you can assist to the Carnaval Vénitien of Annecy, in march. It is a great place with a lot activities, and attracts many people.

Lovely park for walking, people watching and scenery. Although this park is quite crowded in the summer, it’s a wonderful place to relax and take in this wonderful city. We loved watching happy dogs swim and chase sticks.

Lovely open treed space to walk in or sit on the many benches to watch the passing parade and just simply to look out over the beautiful lake. The gardens have many pieces of artwork scattered around. We walked there on an extremely hot day and were really happy to sit under the shade of the old trees.

Gardens to walk on the lake shore in the most touristically relevant area of Annecy. There lake, canal and river meet and coming from the historic center one must pass through here passing to the Bridge of Loves. All the highest points in the same area. A very nice garden that gives good shade and opportunity to rest and snack in addition to public bathrooms.

The park holds a superb exhibition of trees of countless species, shapes and sizes, proportionately punctuated by little points of man-made interest. The peaceful park sits on a rounded promontory looking out on the magnificent blue lake Annecy. If you are looking for some relaxation or contemplation, this could be the place.

A beautiful expanse of green and rich in flora is lovely to relax within. Many pathways lead amongst the trees and ample seating is in place.
A further plus is its scenic location by the exceptional lake.

What a wonderful park located between the old city and the lake of Annecy.
Many plants, seating options as well as various sculptures - outstanding!

This is a lakeside lush green lawn in Annecy: very similar to one such garden on Lake Geneva but with a very different ambience. Jardin des Anglais in Geneva is magnificent, but austere and formal, Jardin de l'Europe is informal and quaint. I have not seen people sunbathing in Geneva, but here there were a lot of them, some topless and with very scanty cover. It is a place within a city where you soak in nature without inhibitions: not a similar ambience but somewhat on the lines of central park in Berlin or the Donauinsel in Vienna. One plus point about this garden is that it has a number of toilet blocks, easily accessible from any part on the lake-side or the garden, unlike only one in Geneva, and this is great help to elderly people like us who want to laze around for a long duration. It is more like a picnic spot, and since no cafes are around, it could be good idea to carry your sandwiches and a flask of coffee if you want to enjoy a fine weather day without a care in the world.

This is a beautiful park ( not really a garden) that has a few beds of flowers. The highlight are the magnificent trees that are hundreds of years old. Many of them have plaques that tell you the species but alas they are all in french .

A great place to stroll, watch the world go by or sit in the sunshine or the shade and just chill.
It’s a garden next to the fantastic lake annecy, stones throw from the town.
There’s really nothing else to say.
