We were going to take one of the larger lake tour boats, however we missed the last sailing, We used this company since they offered that day. The boat was a wood speed boat and held 9 passangers. The driver/tour guide spoke in French and then English. The cost was about half of the big boats and the tour lasted an hour. Recommend. Hope this helps.

You couldn't stay in this beautiful city without taking a lake cruise, unless of course, the weather was against you. We booked our cruise with this company down by the lake area. The young guy selling the tickets was very pleasant and gave us clear instructions in regard to the boat's departure time and as to when we should arrive on site before the boat left on the cruise. The cruise itself was an ideal way to see the lake and the surrounding foreshore. The commentary was in both French and English, although being towards the back of the boat (it was not a large vessel), we had difficulty in hearing what was being said. Overall though, it was an enjoyable hour, slowly navigating the lake, soaking up the sunshine and simply relaxing. We didn't feel that it was expensive.

On a lovely, sunny late October afternoon our family, two little kids (3 & 6), two parents, and two grandparents enjoyed a boat ride on Lac D'Annecy. Along the park abutting the lake in Annecy we found a company called Bateaux Dupraz. We chose a 40 minute ride aboard a small, antique-style wooden motor boat along with another family of four. The boat holds up to 12 people. The Captain was great. He let each of the four kids onboard take a turn driving the boat (under his firm guidance). They had a wonderful time. The lake is very scenic and a trip to Annecy would be somewhat diminished without a chance to get on the lake. Highly recommend this little adventure.
