Historic church

Nice church with a well decorated altar area. Nice and quiet to stop and think. Easy to find in the historic centre and very close to St. Maurice. Free to enter.

We were heading from the lake into the old town and this small beautiful church stands in a wonderful inviting position at the head of the Le Thiou River. It is a very pleasant area and a well designed and constructed church, which is also the burial spot of two saints. A little disappointed with the interior, the exterior offers... More

This church is the burial spot for two saints of the Catholic Church - St. Francis de Sales ( founder of the Visitation Order) and St. Jeanne de Chantal. The church has also served as barracks and then apartments over the years. It was converted back to a church in the 1920's and currently serves as a church for the... More

Not much to write about, it was a small church with simple interior. Well used by the local, free to get in. There were daily masses, which were well attended by the locals.

We popped into the church for a quick glimpse and there happened to be a mini opera recital underway. It was very special to hear the music in the church. Wonderful.

A beautiful church to visit in the middle of Annecy. The old wooden pews brings back memories of the old churches of the Middle Ages.

A MUST visit in Annecy are the beautiful churches: St. Francis, St. Pierre and the Notre Dame de Liesse as well as the Basilique de la Visitation. The worship service on the last Sunday of 2013 was full to overflowing and lead beautifully with the melodic voices of the Priest and a nun.

It is a nice little church but there are other churches in Europe that are far grander. This is ok to visit if you don't go out of your way to see it.

A nice walk up the hill. Church has very nice lead light windows. On the walk you pass a lovely little community aid abroad shop. Selling fair trade products and food from third world countries. (I got some nice Bolivian chocolate)
