Really the old town is quite small but wander around and take in the sights over a couple of hours and then venture into the newer town. A lovely pace to visit, get away from the shops that are just for tourists, visit a bar...More
Originally constructed in the 1100's...what more can you say? Doesn't take too long to visit and explored, be sure to check out the room that functioned as a mint. So much history right at the heart of Old Annecy.

We found it to be very intimate experience to see how prisoners lived and also the preservation of the site along with what prisoners scratched onto the walls were amazing to see. We got lost but it was a great experience.
