The museum is free and small but quite informative on the roots of animation to France. We made a fun video in only 30 minutes and had a blast doing it. Be sure to check that the exhibit is still there though as it may not be permanent.

This museum has a wonderful film exposition on the history of animation going back to the late 1800's. It traces this art form from hand puppets to the computer generated images we see today. The Lumiere ( "light" in the French language) brothers were early proponents of this medium.

In the Art and History Conservatoire (a former seminary building up the hill to the left from the chateau) the CITIA exposition is a gem for anyone who perhaps has had their fill of castles, traditional tourist stuff and "art", but is interested in film and animation in particular, and likes interacting with what they are seeing.
