We interacted with a number of people on our evening trip around the lake. For the most part they were helpful and accommodating. The ticket sellers were very helpful and polite. The boat captain was friendly and very professional. Unfortunately the guide aboard the vessel wasn't so helpful. As the boat pulled out she began her nonstop narration. Everything was in French. OK, fine. After about 25 minutes I approached her and asked her in very polite French if she would mind saying a few words in English. (I imagine a good 50% of the passengers were non French speaking.) Before I reached the end of my sentence she gave me a curt "No." After a pause she said (In perfect English) "You can go to the QR code posted over there and read information on your phone." I was not interested in reading information on my phone on such a beautiful evening on such a beautiful lake in such a beautiful setting. It was clear she spoke perfect English and could have very well accommodated the Danes, Germans, Americans and all the other non French speaking passengers on board. But she was determined to show who was in control I guess. Too bad.

We had been looking at booking a boat cruise of Lac Annecy during our recent visit and could only see two options (1 hour or 1.5 hour). We were going to book the 1.5 hour cruise but when I went to book it, the company had added a special cruise of 2 hours and 10 minutes. This was a perfect length of time and we got to see the whole lake. Lots of seats, both inside and outside. Pre-recorded narration (French and English). Friendly, professional crew. Soft drinks available to purchase on board.

My wife, Lynn, and I really enjoyed this experience from start to finish. The young gentleman who sold us our tickets was friendly and professional and explained everything perfectly. The boat ride itself was relaxing, informative and beautiful. We cruised approximately half way down the lake and were thrilled by the spectacular scenery. The staff on the boat were helpful and shared information about the surrounding towns as we passed them. I highly recommend this experience when visiting Lake Annecy.

We thought this would be over the top touristy, but it was actually wonderful. Great three course lunch, reasonably priced drinks and impeccable service. The views were fantastic. Photos don't do it justice. Lunch is served in an interior climate controlled room, but you can go to the open air deck above to enjoy the view. One of the highlights of our trip to Annecy.

Lovely journey around the lake. It was just a pity that it was a cool, cloudy day. Commentary is in French only. You can download an App for other languages, but unfortunately we didn’t bring our ear phones. Sit on the left side of the boat as it travels clockwise around the lake. You need to be there 15 minutes before departure, but I would advise getting there 25 minutes before departure to ensure a good seat.

Wonderful way to see Lac Annecy! I ended up sailing 3 times during my month-long stay in Veyrier du lac so each of my friends who came to visit could experience it: once for dinner and twice for lunch.

The food was excellent! Good French cuisine- not the rubbish you find on similar tourist boats in the US. We had the Libellule menu with 3 courses. Nice selection of wines and cocktails to round it out. I found the price (which includes the 2 hour cruise) quite reasonable considering the quality.

Staff are sweet and knowledgeable. The narrated information about the boat and the area is in French, so I translated for my companions. Definitely could benefit from an English language printed explanation. But I would still highly recommend this for anyone visiting the lake. 5 stars!

Great boat trip with lovely views all around the lake. Would have been made better if they had advised that there was an app available for different languages rather than listen to an hour and a half of French. It was only when we got up to leave that we like others noticed a small sign on the way out. Still a nice trip.

Even though it was raining we did not think this contributed to our disappointment. The English part was like no English we have ever heard . The numbers were the only part we understood. Maybe if it was a sunny day the outside speakers would have been better. The biggest disappointment was when we went back to ticket office after cruise to say we were disappointed with English commentary as we asked particularly that there would be English commentary when purchasing the tickets. The only reaction was a giggle from the girl in ticket office. The lac still a mystery.

I had one day in Annecy, and while I wanted to stroll the old town, I also wanted a boat tour of the lake. This company offers a one-hour and a two-hour option, and i chose the former. For me it was perfect, as it gave me a good sense of the entire lake - and the wonderful mountains beyond. The day was fresh, clear and crisp, so it was a perfect day for an outing.

I am not certain that I hopped onto the first cruise of the day, but if not first it was second. I had arrived by early train and found myself just in time for the 11 am cruise. It was a weekday in late September. Still I was surprised that only a few people (under 20 on a boat that must seat at least 50), but it was fine with me, as I had freedom to roam around the boat. I spent most of my time in the front of the boat outside - there are about 15-20 seats out there, and the view from the inside cabin just behind it was restrictive in the sense that it was difficult to get good photos through the windows. There are as many if not a few more seats in the rear of the boat, and I did spend a few minutes there, but all in all I'd advise the front of the boat in good weather.

The lake? Small and gorgeous in the sunshine, smaller communities than Annecy dot its banks and above almost all of them beautiful mountains took my breath away. I noticed two paragliders who must have had an even better view than I did, but I was more than content, in fact I enjoyed it as much as I did the old town.

The narration on the boat is in French only, and while the view and fresh air was enough for me, at times I wished for a short, written version in English - or a map of the lake identifying some of the spots that the guide chatted about. You can't have everything however, and with or without benefit of guide, this is a treat you won't want to miss! The price as I recall was 14 Euros, quite inexpensive for that fine hour on a beautiful lake!

2hr trip seems more like a ferry service for the locals than a boat catered for tourists. Smaller boat, more cramped.

If you're anywhere other than the front there is no airflow so it feels like a sweat box. They stop at stations and let more people on. A quarter way through we almost got off.

The pre-recorded English translation is a little confusing as it gets interrupted by live French and as the boat moves you're unsure of what the guide is referring to.

Maybe just do the 1hr or choose a different company.
