Very interesting information about VanGogh Reading more about him and his life rounded out our art tour of Provence. We also enjoyed the museum itself. It is a beautfiul, well renovated building and had many interesting works exhibited.

There is a bit of a movie and time line about Van Gogh, none of his work though. Saw a few other exhibitions which were interesting. Very friendly staff.

There's a small but informative Van Gogh presentation (don't go expecting to see any of his paintings!) with a nicely-made short film. Other exhibitions are temporary. The current Jean-Paul Chambas show is not to my taste but there's better work upstairs.

Bonjour, Thank you for your comment and compliments about our informative Van Gogh center. This year our first temporary exhibition is about Denis Laget work and upstairs the Bernard Buffet paintings, and other painters like Albert Gleizes, André Marchand, or Goetz are waiting for you :)

First thing to say is this is free to artists. Otherwise only 5euros. Just remember your art society membership card. When I visited the receptionist spoke great english and had spent time in the Uk including my home town of Edinburgh. There were 4 different art exhibitions. Contemporary but all very different styles. Plus an informative display with audio and videos included about Van Gogh. St Remy is on a Van Gogh trail with the St Pauls Sanitarium only a 1 klm walk away where VanGogh stayed for treatment and produced many works. The art in the gallery was a joy and the Van Gogh centre informative but dont expect any original work of his. Look carefully for opening times as well as those of the sanitorium, prior to organising your visit. Recommended

This museum has an interesting description of Van Gogh and his art but no works of this artist are hanging there. We got to see an excelent show of Bernard Buffet in the 1950's. Very interesting.
