Right outside the town of Saint Remy next to the asylum where Van Gogh was committed are some great Roman ruins. The triumphal arch and mausoleum were really cool looking with great details. You can also wander around the lovely town of Saint Remy too.

We gave up on St Remy itself as it looked overcrowded on a Sunday, with nowhere to park.
These two ruins look a bit weird, just stuck in a field but they’re in great condition.
Very easy to park, good timing as on our own til a coach party arrived just as we were leaving.

These ruins are available to the public in an open space. I visited with my family on the way to Glanum and we enjoyed getting an up close view. It was a nice addition to our visit to the Van Gogh walk and Glanum.

A great view of history, B.C.!
This two monuments are just incredible pieces of Ancient (BC) history! The mausoleum is a tribute from Augustus to commemorate the deaths of two grandsons... The Arc de Triomphe another marvel of BC history! The two stood at the entrance to the old city of Glanum, so if that's where you're headed, stop here first! There's a parking lot right beside, but it's an easy walk from the old city of St Remy. Not to be missed!

Incredibly preserved roman ruins built between the 4th and 2nd century BC as the gateway to Glanum, the wealthy Roman Town predating St Remy. If you are in the area it is well worth taking the time to visit les antiques and Glanum.

A well-preserved mausoleum and arch dating back to 40 BCE built by the Romans. A mark of the Roman civilization that reached much of Europe.

This site is worth a stop if you are in the area or probably better combined with a visit to the Roman site at Glanum just across the road.

This should be put on everyone's list of things to do when in the area. We drove 1 1/2 hours to visit and were happy that we did. Many things to visit.

I was delighted to see this. It is right near Saint-Remy, where Van Gogh was in the mental hospital in the late 1880s. I had never heard of Les Antiques until I visited. Very worth well to see. Easy access. We were there in the morning so parking lot was empty.
