A lovely place to visit for a few hours. There are many displays with lots of armoury. I liked the garden as there are fabulous views across the town.

A very complete collection of uniforms, weapons such as rifles, swords nicely illustrated with maps and other original documents. A must see!

This museum is a legend in itself - born out of the passion of 2 brothers (the Brunons) for military history and collecting artefacts. Bestowed with a family fortune, they started collecting in 1911. One brother died on the battlefield during WW1, the surviving brother continued collecting and named the collection after both his and his brother's name. His one... More

The exhibits of weapons and military uniforms was impressive! The staff was very helpful. There is a staircase to a beautiful view of the city,... More

Castle, full of history, in Salon - when we were there, they were doing sound tests for a concert. It would have been amazing!

A fantastic display of military equipment, the building is very interesting and everything is extremely well maintained, We were somewhat gobsmacked by the extensive collection. Make the effort to see this, the staff are very helpful and accommodating.

We came to Salon de Provence to visit this well respected museum, but it was closed for some reason. We walked the grounds and climbed the walls of the chateau. From it's bastions you've got great views of the town and its red painted geometric designs on the buildings. I hope that I have a chance to visit Provence again... More

A very interesting chateau in the centre of Salon. There is a museum attached and guided tours at certain times.
