3 great places in Provence.

Arles - St Rémy - Les baux de Provence

I'll show you the city of Arles which has some of the best preserved Roman places in the region such as the amphitheatre & the theatre. Arles is also host to the International Photography Festival, a huge exposition with dozens of art galleries open from July to September. You'll discovered the places Van Gogh painted like the hospital, the bridge (a place in the middle of nowhere ), on the river "Le Rhône" waterfront (by night), outside a café.

Next stop, Les Baux de Provence with its medieval castle high on a hilltop village just a few miles from Arles.

Our last stop will be St Remy de Provence, a very nice little city with a lot of handcrafts & souvenirs shops, Van Gogh printed paintings along the road.

A lot of different aspects of Provence. And the cherries on the top? Olive oils & wine & chocolate tastings!

Laurent was a terrific guide; friendly, informative and accommodating (we were traveling with a special needs child and 'accommodating' is a big deal for us). We hit the major highlights with Laurent and it left us able to explore some other areas more in depth...More

This was more like a strange history tour that ended with a picnic at Lawrence house. The food tours I’ve been on in other parts of Europe you meet the purveyors of the little restaurant or store and they tell you about their food ingredients...More

Laurent picked us up at the port in Marseilles and took us to Sanary-Sur-Mer to experience the market. He helped us with the language (I only speak very little French) and which items were best. We wound up with some olives, sausage, cheese, fruit, and...More

We chose this tour because of the TA reviews but, alas, we didn't have Laurent as our guide. Our guide was absolutely hopeless. His English was far too limited to do a tour for native English-speaking people. Not only that, but he really didn't know...More
