Nicolas collected us from our cruise ship and we went for a tour of the wonderful city of Marseilles in his electric tuktuk. His running commentary by microphone was very informative and we saw many sights we would not have seen had we been on a coach trip (only 1 day in port). Travelling the narrow back lanes, many interesting small shops/restaurants. A trip to the White Rock church - highest point, with wonderful views overlooking the city. Through the bustling old port area, then along the Corniche. A very memorable trip, made even more wonderful by Nicolas. Thank you very much. Gill and Bob Roberts 6 May 2022

We booked the tour online. Fast and good communication. The tour was very nice (also for our children 7 and 8 years old) picked us up from the cruise.
Nicolas told a lot of information and showed beautiful places. Highly recommended!

Booked a two hour tuk tuk ride around Marseille. Booking easy via the tourist office website and met Nicholas our tuk tuk driver without problem outside the tourist office just off Vieux Port. We then had two fantastic hours being taken around Marseille. First the old quarter - Le Panier which was really interesting and in a tuk tuk you get to go down narrow streets with Nicholas pointing out points of interest and time to stop and take photos. Then over to the corniche by the sea and down to a pretty fishing village- again somewhere you would never visit on the tourist trail. Finally up to the basilica of Sainte Marie which had amazing views across the city.

I was with two teenage kids who loved the experience and we saw a lot of sights which would have taken a long time to see on foot. Nicholas was a great guide and gave us lots if information about the city as well as being extremely friendly.

I can really recommend this as a novel and unique experience - kids say it was the best thing of our two weeks in South of France!

I realize that sardines are popular in this area but I never intended to spend a day like one. If your TukTuk is booked for 6 people, just cancel. You are about to be miserable for a few hours while learning nothing about the city.

The guide made no effort to make us comfortable in an insanely crowded "TukTuk." Half of the group will have to sit backwards so they won't be able to see. If anyone is remotely tall, they will wish they were in coach on a plane.

Beyond the truly innapropiate vehicle size, the tour was uninformative. I now know about the existence of several bridges, but no idea their importance. We stopped in a small part of the city, no idea why.

Our final stop at a chocolate shop was nice but clearly they have a deal with your operators.

Take an uber to a few sites, grab some chocolate and save your body.

Dear Bo S, thank you for your comments. Now, we have 4 seats tuk tuk with seats turned to the front! I remember the tour with you and I understand your comments. If you had explained your problems to me the same day, I could have found a solution! Yes indeed we have an arrangement with the chocolate company: customers come and eat or buy chocolates... it's just normal, don't you think? I hope you found good times in your future trip. Your sincerely, Nicolas

I phoned from Australia and spoke directly to Nicolas. I asked for a two hour tour and could he find a restaurant for lunch that typically represented old Marseille. I also asked if he would stay and join my wife and I for lunch. I then extended the invitation to his wife and baby daughter. Nicolas met us at the ship and we had a wonderful tour through the old city and then to the old fishing port ending up at Le Panier Restaurant back in the old city. We met his wife and baby daughter and had the most amazing food. Over wine with lunch we had such a rich exchange of history on their side to us and Australia to them. This was a highlight of our trip and we have had a wonderful encompassing day. Marseille is a big city and hilly. I would strongly recommend Nicolas and his Tuk Tuk if you wish to see all the sights.

We booked a tuk-tuk tour for earlier this week. I grew up in Marseille and wanted to show the city to my son who had never been. Nicolas was a wonderful guide, taking us to unusual places, and also to the more "touristy" areas. His "tuk-tuk" can really go to places where cars really struggle.
This was a truly fascinating experience. I'll definitely do another tour with Nicolas next time I am in Marseille! He loves the city, and knows how to share his passion. He was also very keen to ensure we had a good time and focused his tour on the areas that were of interest to us.
And when we saw the way Nicolas was greeted by the old fishermen from Vallon des Auffes, we had confirmation the "tuk-tuk tour" is slowly becoming part of the city's heritage :)
Thank You Nicolas for a wonderful tour!

My Husband and I and some family just completed a Western Mediterranean cruise and one of our day stops was in Marseille. We booked Marseille Tuk Tuk Tours prior to arriving and we were not disappointed with our decision.

Nicholas was an absolutely amazing tour guide and took us to places most cars/buses cannot go. We loved every minute of our tour and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We booked by email and Nicholas picked us up by our ship and only paid cash after the tour. Only suggestion I have is that you confirm where you would like to end your trip as we did not do this and the tour ended in town and we had to make alternate arrangements to get back to the ship.

Other then this small hiccup we had the most fun...thank you Nicholas.

We really enjoyed our tuk-tuk tour of Marseille. The day was sunny and it was the perfect way to see some of Marseille's sights. We chose the ballade authentic tour and Nicholas shared his knowledgeable about Marseille and its history with us in English. A really fun way to explore the city. His little tuk-tuk managed to squeeze into many places where a bus or car would struggle. At 55 euros for 2 hours and up to 3 people I felt it was great value for a personalised tour.

Visiting Marseille for one day on a cruise stop we were looking for a trip to see the Sights, in a relaxing fashion. This fitted the bill perfectly!
As we watched from high on the ship, all the other passengers queuing for coaches and taxis, we saw our pre-booked tuk-tuk chugging towards us. A good half an hour before the booked time.
We opted for a two hour tour with return to the ship.
We met Nicholas, the owner operator, and off we set. The tuk-tuk was quieter and more comfortable than expected and Nicholas was a sympathetic driver, unlike some taxi drivers!
He took us around the sights, historical and natural, pointing out and explaining as we went. His English was excellent. We stopped off at a little chocolate factory too for 10 mins or so, but purely at our request, not compulsory. The old harbour was very pretty, with Nicholas exchanging greetings and conversation with many local folk along the way.
Many tourists looked enviously at us as they toiled up the steep winding lanes, and we knew then what a good choice we had made! The finale was the view from the Notre Dame de la Garde, overlooking all of Marseille, truly breathtaking!
Although only with Nicholas for a few hours, it seemed like saying Good-bye to an old friend when he dropped us off back at our ship.
I can thoroughly recommend this as a relaxing and informative way to view Marseille.

Unlike some cities, such as Lisbon, Marseilles is not overrun with noisy, smelly, diesel tuktuks. What is available from Tuktuk Marseille is a gleaming white and chrome silent battery operated vehicle driven by the friendly and knowledgeable owner, Nicolas Reybaud. Visiting on a cruise ship we had pre-booked a tour by email. We opted for a 2 hour tour for 5 people for 75 euros plus collection and return to the ship for a further 90 euros which compares favourably with the charge made by the cruise line for their shuttle bus to the city centre. (It is not really practical to walk to the city centre and the port shuttle does not operate every day.) There is no financial risk as there is no deposit required and payment is not made until conclusion of the tour.
The big advantage of the tuktuk is that it reaches the parts other tours cannot (unless you choose to walk). This meant we visited hard to get to places such as Windmill Square and the delightfully tranquil fishermen's harbour at Auffes. In addition to a short stop at the Old Port to see the remarkable mirrored canopy of the Port Vieux Pavilion we were driven right to the entrance of the Notre Dame de la Garde to visit the magnificent cathedral and admire the marvellous panoramic views over the city.
In conclusion an excellent educational and fun experience. One word of warning - not the easiest of vehicles to get in and out of with a low canopy and very high step !
