A must see. Night and sundown would be fabulous just too tired this time. It has a nautical theme in the church. It was occupied by the Germans and liberated by the Americans and an American Tank is just down the road facing toward the...More

We came on electric bikes - not for the faint hearted when they're starting to run out of charge, so a robust plan for arrival is essential. The views over the city and out to see are sensational. Inside, the devout have the opportunity to...More

Great view of Marseille from the Basilique Notre Dame. The best way to get there was to take a day tour from the city center. Open air bus at the reasonable price.

We walked up but you can drive or take the little tourist train from the central square. On a sunny day the views are excellent Took a lot of photos inside as well.

It´s well worth the visit. The decor, the gold, the ships hanging from the ceiling, the mosaiik, there are so many details to see in this church.... It is simply amazing!
