Very nice and well decorated cathedral located in Marseille. Quite a walk uphill to get there but well worth the time and effort. Breathtaking view of the city and the sea from this basilica. The church 's interiors are well decorated with very unique mosaics...More

Stunning and overwhelmingly beautiful. The interior is amazing, the location a wonder and the view over Marseille is so lovely. We could see this site from our hotel room windows directly ahead over the harbour. Lit up at night it is lovely. We went on...More

The church is very unique and my husband and I were glad that we saw it. We decided to walk there and it was actually a nice walk. I was a little worried based on the reviews, but even carrying my three month old son,...More

Great Basilica and amazing views. Stunning interior, there was a service being conducted at the time but we were still allowed in, very enlightening!

A must go when in Marseille. Accessible by foot, tourist train, bus and even (partially) an elevator. From here you can see why it is the third largest city in France. Nice views of the archipelago and harbour area. Land inward the view is less...More

This wonderful church can be seen from all over the city and is really worth a visit. We took the Open Top Bus and walked all round the Basilique. The views from here are fantastic, across the city and sea to the Islands.

If you do not have a car be prepared for a steep climb to the top of the hill where the Basilica is located. You could take the little train which starts from the harbour. The basilica is beautiful but if this doesn't interest you,...More

Yes, you can drive all the way to the building. On the way up you will see a few levels of parking, just continue to the bldg unless you are in yhe mood for a steep hike.

We saw a lot of coaches for organised tours. Not sure how close parking is for cars as we visited using e-bikes which was great fun and so much easier than walking! Enjoy.

You can take the bus 60 from the old port until the Terminus, which is right at the entrance of the church for 1,50 Euro.
