We chose the old harbour because we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main port in Villefranche. It was a good choice, we were 10 minutes or less walk along the citadel at the waters edge to the main port....More

Nice enough little marina/port to wander around but it only takes a few minutes and so wouldn't be something to travel far for in it's own right. As a part of the whole (Villefranche-sur-mer) then it shouldn't be missed out

We done a cruise trip by Royal Caribbean and Villefranche-sur-Mer was the harbor for the 02nd day, since they didn't have (maybe) the facilities to have a huge ship we were transporting by small boats to the land, that was the Villefranche-sur-Mer harbor, it was...More

We walked the coastal path from Nice which leads to the old harbour in Villefranche. We enjoyed the walk and looking at the boats in the picturesque harbour.

There are boats, and a goofy little restaurant that has good sandwiches and wine to sip on. I mean... guys, it's a harbor.

Lovely harbor with a mixture of boats. There's not a lot going on, but it's still a pleasant walk and nice to sit and admire the different types of boats that are moored there.

It makes for a lovely stroll, while you're on the côté D'Azur to visit the harbor in Villefranche. The fishermen pull into the harbour with their catch, you can buy it straight off the dock.

Head towards the marina but stop when you reach hotel D'ar on left. On right you will see small free parking area. Get there before lunch maybe 11am if you can. If full it is worth waiting for 5mins as very often a space... More
