I was visiting St Paul De Vence and I was standing outside this chapel on the top of the hill and I couldn't get any information on the internet on opening times etc even from the St Paul's website so here goes:

Times:
From October 1st to March 31 from 2pm to 5pm . The chapel is closed in November and on 25th December and 1st January.

Price:
Combined ticket for the chapel and museum €3 per person and €2 for children. Tickets were on sale opposite the chapel in the museum and the person selling the tickets was very helpful and spoke excellent English.

Location: Top of the hill of St Paul's and around the corner from the church. It's a brown door so easy to miss!

What is it like? It is one room with paintings either side and directly ahead is a mosaic so it will not take long to view but it is beautiful to so don't miss it . Try and enjoy the one room rather than telling people to get out of the way so that you can take a photo (I am sure that the USA person wasn't aware of his rudeness as he asked my mother and me to get out of the way so that he could take a photo)

Hope this helps.

I viewed to chapel as part of the tourist office walking tour. The guide did an excellent job of explaining the symbolism and history of renovation/decoration. It's quite small. Takes about 10 minutes to view. The caretaker only spoke French but there is an English pamphlet.

From the outside you wouldn't know or care about the chapel on the inside. But this is one place you have to visit. It is beautiful! It is so well done, and I have never seen anything like it anywhere else in the world. It is worth your time to see it.

This is one of those gems most people miss. Many tours take people to St Paul de Vence but you will have to discover this Chapelle on your own. It was the last work of the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon and was completed after his death. It is near the center of the medieval town, near the Church. You need to buy a ticket at the museum across the street which is good for the museum and the Chapelle. It is a tiny place, very spiritual and very beautiful. The mosaic looks at first like the oil paintings but when you realize it is comprised of thousands of tiny pieces of tile it is all the more amazing. If you take a tour to St Paul be sure to see this Chapelle.

The chapel is beautiful and absolutely worth a visit. The museum (ticket gets you entry to both) is essentially a series of tableaux with wax dummies portraying scenes from the history of St. Paul de Vence, it’s great if like me you appreciate a good unintentionally odd museum, but otherwise ten minutes should do it!

Just a 30 minute bus ride from Nice, France. Forego overpriced tours and use local bus. Suggest taking time off and visit this often missed jewel

This is one of the most beautiful spaces I have ever seen. Designed by Folon for the White Penitents (an order of priests). It is a light-filled space with the most stunning Ravenna mosaic. There are eight lovely oil murals, three stained glass windows, and the most moving, simple sculptures. From the outside, you would never expect what this interior feels like. I wish I could go back again and again. Included in your admission price of 3 euros is entrance to a crummy little museum. We had to return the English-printed guide.

Don't be deceived by the exterior of La Chapelle des Penitents Blancs. A wonderful surprise awaits you. Jean-Michel Folon's decoration-composed of a Ravenna-technique mosaic, four stained glass windows, two sculptures, and eight wall oil paintings-creates a brilliantly-colored, light-filled, spiritually-uplifting interior.

We stumbled across this chapel while walking in St Paul de Vence. It is quiet and cool inside and very peaceful, but it’s primary attraction, the mosaics. The mosaic behind the altar is stunning and there are more pictures in the alcoves down the side walls.

A historic and baeutiful place, out of the tourist bustle in a stunning old walled town, which offers cool and quiet and a place to reflect on all the history and life around; well worth a visit, and a pasue in a probably fairly hectic day. It is for anyone
