We toured la Chapelle Folon / Chapelle des Penitents blancs during the Journee du Patrimoine. It is beautifully decorated with paintings typical of Folon's art, with a whimsical fountain inside.

We stumbled across this chapel while walking in St Paul de Vence. It is quiet and cool inside and very peaceful, but it’s primary attraction, the mosaics. The mosaic behind the altar is stunning and there are more pictures in the alcoves down the side walls.

We visited this chapel and really knew nothing about its creator--Folon, but we were impressed by the beautiful mosaics, light golden colors, and the airy feeling throughout the chapel. It was well worth seeing for a modest fee.

A historic and baeutiful place, out of the tourist bustle in a stunning old walled town, which offers cool and quiet and a place to reflect on all the history and life around; well worth a visit, and a pasue in a probably fairly hectic day. It is for anyone

The chapel is beautiful and absolutely worth a visit. The museum (ticket gets you entry to both) is essentially a series of tableaux with wax dummies portraying scenes from the history of St. Paul de Vence, it’s great if like me you appreciate a good unintentionally odd museum, but otherwise ten minutes should do it!

This quiet unspoilt chapel is light and airy, unlike so many churches in France. The mosaic is stunning and must have been a labour of love.

Just a 30 minute bus ride from Nice, France. Forego overpriced tours and use local bus. Suggest taking time off and visit this often missed jewel

We were stunned by this chapel the first time we visited when there was some repair work going on to the floor. This time we were able to sit and absorb the peace and serenity of the chapel and marvel at the mosaics, the stained glass windows and the paintings. The history of the restoration of the chapel by the artist Folon is on show in the museum opposite which is also worth a visit.
