Place Saint-Francois is undergoing major renovation, but when it's done there will be lovely new stone tiles, a new Museum of Nice, the fish mongers will return, and there will be space for more outdoor cafes. I'm there every day!
We visited in late April and there was still lots of construction work going on. Looks like they are laying a new pavement which will be very nice once it is finished. You can still see the lovely small fountain as you pass by.
After our walk through the Old Tow, we were sufficiently wet and cold that it was time for a glass of wine. We ran across this place by accident--it was so wet we could not pull out our phone for advice!
