Came here for a breakfast stop and had the American breakfast (12€) which included a hot drink, orange juice, fruit, eggs nd bacon and croissant. Food was good for price. Good place to watch the world go by.

We reserved a table at this restaurant for Saturday evening when we were there lunchtime. When we arrived it appeared that no table had been reserved as they had to pull some tables together. It wasn’t an issue as they were not busy at 7.30pm. Everyone was happy with their good, although it was the most expensive meal of the holiday. I had filet steak which was very tender

This place reaaaly needs new employees. There was this girl who gave us a place to sit. We said can we order a drink, she said no I don’t take orders and walked away. 20 min later someone finally came and after that we got our drink. The food was ok but it is not normal to almost stand up and wave for attention and still not get any. Also we ordered food and a bottle of water but never got the water. In front of us there was a couple who walked away because no one came to them after 15 min. Really bad, please hire more people.

We stopped here for lunch and were served by a charming waiter, Nico. Our pizza was absolutely lovely topped with good quality ham and a spaghetti bolognese we had was very filling and tasty. It was so relaxing here although the restaurant was quite busy. It had a friendly atmosphere and we just relaxed with an Aperol Spritz each. We will definitely be returning to Les Ponchettes when next in Nice.

Food is everything but special. Service is at first sight polite, just until you order since I guess there is no turning back. Due to the location it is not affordable which would be fine if at least it was good. But it was NOT. We got the feeling that it wasn't a very hygienic place and towards the end we were charged more than what we ordered. All in all it was a bad experience from beginning to end. Don't make the same mistake we did as to sitting down at the first restaurant we saw since it was raining a bit and it looked "nice".

A long coastal walk with lovely architecture and mountain backgrounds.

Good place for relaxing, chilled, and many restaurants and bars with sea-view balcony.

The place itself is located very nice, on a touristic street in the old town. But thats all.. the service was very unfriendly towards the end, the food was not taste at all. €15-18 for a pasta which is not special at all. And then at the end we got the bill (without asking)and it wasnt even ours. Then we just received a random amount verbally which was more then we consumed. After telling the waiter the real total, he wrote it down.. and added it up himself.. finding out his amount was wrong.
Advice: go a bit further up in the streets north, there are really nice restaurants for the same price!

When I arrive in Nice, I go down to the lovely and lively Cours Saleya to Les Ponchettes and have a rose. A couple of years ago I was there...solo w/o hubby...and three young men(about 4 decades younger) asked to join me. (I had a closer view of the TV where the world football tournament was being broadcast) What followed was a rousing scene of great fun fueled good boissons. Again...I immerse myself in the joy of the Riviera by an afternoon/evening libation at les Ponchettes!

We selected this sunny corner for our Valentine's Day lunch in Nice. The service was begrudging and poor, the meals were decidedly mediocre, small and pricey, the wine was good, but extremely expensive. It took ages for us to get our bill and our experience was poor - please don't make the same mistake as we did. I agree with Bob's review of the food & toilets.
