Everyone I spoke with before going to Nice said I had to visit Marché aux Fleurs on Cours Saleya in Vieux Nice, and now I understand why. Every morning (except Monday), there is a beautiful farmers' market in the middle of Cours Saleya that offers everything from herbs to hats. I initially went around 7am, while all of the vendors were setting up. Not many people were around, and it was very cool seeing the market take shape. I later returned at noon, and the street was absolutely teeming with tourists and locals alike. It doesn't take much time there to appreciate the vast cornucopia that is Marché aux Fleurs, so I highly recommend strolling down Cours Saleya during business hours!

This is a great outdoor flower market where you will find awesome plants and flowers for sale, like bouquets, lemon and lime trees, olive trees, eucalyptus and more. It’s a short walk from the sea. Some market vendors sell the same items for cheaper, so browse around carefully.

Absolutely loved this market, all the fresh produce and gorgeous flowers everywhere.
Truffles and every kind of mushroom you can imagine as well as sauces and tapenades.
Fresh breads and pastries and oils, a foodie heaven. There was other interesting bits on sale too like hand crafted baskets and bags as well as art and jewellery. This is a must for sure.

This market is fun to wander through. It had all sorts of different stuff, from flowers to vegetables to meats to cheeses to different kinds of spices, to souvenirs. My wife bought a painted olive oil cruet which matched the pattern of a tablecloth she had just purchased in Aix-en-Provence. There were many decorative items to see besides the normal edibles, which, by the way, looked very fresh!

Very agitated street during market hours, full of tourists, it is even advised to be aware of pick-pockets; I was roughly at 11 am on a Saturday, and it was crowded, but I have to say that the space to walk through the market was narrow. Main items for sale are colorful flowers, highly scented Marseille soaps, fruits, peanuts and other delicacies. All products looked good. I finally bought the Marseille soaps as souvenirs for relatives and myself. Several restaurants are found on both sides of the street.

A famous open-air market a few steps away from the beach in Nice.
The market is split between its famous flower market selling bucketfuls of blooms on the western side and a food market brimming with spices, produce, pastries, and more on the eastern side.
The food stalls are just as enticing as the flowers.
It can get really crowded in high season, so if you do want to go in summer, best to get there early. It’s a great place to people-watch, while having a coffee from one of the surrounding bars and cafes.

I really fall in love with this place. In every town I'm trying to visit flea markets, markets etc, so we decide to go here as well. It's suprisingly clean for marker, but more important it's beatiful. The place is not too big, but enough to find some beatiful fresh flowers, or some souvenirs, gifts, or just try some local food or sit at some caffe.

Really good market, lots of food stalls to try some Street food from. We got the chick pea pancake which is a speciality of the region apparently and some sweet treats. All tasty and reasonably priced.
If you do go during the winter months all the reviews I had read said the market was an early thing, so I went down at seven hoping for the best however the market was still very much in the setting up phase. Went back at half eight and it was just getting into the swing of it. Not sure if summer months are and earlier start but winter months are definitely not.
However if you can get to the market do, it's lovely just to walk around and I would definitely recommend.

The market was everything I could’ve wanted and more! They had such great produce and fruits that I wish I lived there. There were multiple flower and soap stands and souvenirs on every corner. I had a great time browsing the stalls and spent more time here than I thought I needed!

When in France…don’t miss the Saturday market. The Cours Saleya market in Nice is particularly charming because of the fabulous Provencal flowers on sale. Get there early and rub shoulders with the restaurateurs who are stocking up for the weekend. And, if you’re a visitor, pack with enough space to take home some cheese and charcuterie in your carry-on.

Mercato sempre aperto ma i banchetti vendono in stragrande maggioranza fiori, prodotti provenzali, frutta e verdura. Lungo il corso ci sono invece diverse attività ristorative acchiappa turisti.

Hi there, we will be in Nice soon and definitely want to go to the Marche aux Fleurs Cours Saleya... what are their days and times that the market is opened?

The market is open every day but Monday. Tuesday to Saturday open times is 06:00-17:30 and Sunday 06:30-13:30. I found that before 8 AM not all the stalls are open yet. So go after that.

Если не ошибаюсь, цветы продают и в понедельник, просто выбор меньше. Еще в Старом городе есть несколько маленьких цветочных магазинов.
