Not a very large place, but still you would like to spend hours just looking at all the flower, vegetables, meat, spices and other thing sold here. Take a break in one of the nice restaurants on the side of the market place.

Starting our trip to Nice with a visit of Cours Saleya was easy as we left our car in the car park right underneath the square. We were late so the flower market had already finished but - sitting outside a café - it was still a great place to watch people. Lots of atmosphere and with both the Old... More

The colours and smells and sounds of Cours Saleya, whether it's the flower market or any other daily market, put a huge grin on my face every single time. Against the yellows and oranges of the old buildings, just after sunrise, it can be one of the most beautiful place on earth.

This is a quaint flower and sundry market located near the Place Massena and therefore a nice place to spend some time in the shade and view the many plants and cut flowers. Be forewarned- it is not a floral extravaganza by any means but still worthwhile when you're in the area. It is not a destination attraction. There are... More

This beautiful market is a great place to stroll through in the morning hours. It's full of flowers, fresh catches, cheeses, soaps, souvenirs...basically anything you could think of. This was one of my favorite places to go while in Nice!

Vibrant, always busy. All day Mondays is Antiques/Bric-a-brac. The rest of the week, mornings only, is fruit, vegetables and flowers. Wow, what a colourful array & a beautiful time to enjoy the smells of the soft fruits and flowers. Yes you can overpay but there are also good prices to be had if you wait until the end of Sat... We love visiting markets in France and this is a great example. Beautiful flowers and eye wateringly attractive fruit, veg, cheese, bread, meats etc. Easy to spend far too much here!

We stayed for 5 nights in an apartment around the corner from the market and while we ate out a couple nights, we also ate in from food we got at the market. Selections of cheeses and meats to die for. Had a truffle laced brie (OMG) and a classic pork pate that was fantastic. Plus veggies, fruit and flowers.... More
