This historic part of Nice feels like a medieval village with narrow streets curving between old buildings with red-tile roofs, small restaurants and open-markets.

Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy wandering around the old town, be sure to check out the castle, fish markets and stop for morning coffee. In the evening the old town buzzes with locals and visitors alike all relaxing and enjoying the wide variety of bars and eateries available.

This old town is fun to wander in. We were there on Saturday morning for market day. The fruits and vegetables were tempting and it was fun mixing with the locals. In every other respect, it has been ruined by too many tourist shops, same old, same old items!

The Old Town is always interesting shops, cafes. Always busy has a bib all of its own. Very well worth a visit. Great location for people watching and just kicking back.

Everything you want in the historic center. Beautiful piazzas, architecture, and quaint shops and street market. Lots of traditional French cafes to sit sipping coffee / Aperol spritzers while people watching

We loved wandering Old Town - so many restaurants, bars, gelato booths, etc. it kept us busy the whole week we were there. We never ate at the same place twice, there were so many choices. It was fun to get lost down the side streets and find great places to eat and drink.

This is not to be missed. The streets are colorful, the stores are abundant, the people gather and its just amazing. Grab a gelato, a crepe or some traditional food. Pass by the market and see what the city has to offer. Forget your map and just loose yourself in the beautiful streets.

Short stop in old town Nice, we ran into this restaurant for dinner -- BEST mussels in onion and wine sauce I've ever had. -- They came with french fries, which seemed different, but all was great - house wine was very good to combine with the meal.
