Beautiful and historic

Beautiful small Church were Grace Kelly and Prince Rainiero are buried. Worth the visit (free) while in the Monaco Castle surroundings.

Back into France from the Netherlands and the change of religious culture from protestant austerity to glitzy catholic! This cathedrale however despite its massive amount of gilt work and paintings is remarkably well done and literally quite breath taking. Well worth a visit and take it all in, you don't have to be religious to enjoy it.....awesome décor!

It was worth the walk from the Nice Flower Market to find this cathedral. The inside was exquisite. But you may get a bit lost trying to find it.

This was a memorial concert conducted by renown baroque conductor Philippe Herreweghe of the works of Johann Herman Schein. The beautiful chorale singing in the cathedral was one of the highlights of our stay.

Saw the amazing dome of the cathedral when we were up castle hill and the interior is as nice as the outside. Very peaceful inside and well worth a stop for a seat and contemplation, regardless of religion.

Sainte Reparate might not be as impressive as the cathedrals of the north, but it does its best in being as flashy as possible with the gold decor. Now, I personally am not crazy about the Baroque period; it's too gaudy for me. I lean more towards the Gothic/flamboyant Gothic/Renaissance side. However, as a history fan, I consider every cathedral... More

Very nice baroque style cathedral in the heart of the old town. Huge interior with beautiful stained glass and sculpture, gilded pulpit...Gothic spires reaching upward from the exterior. Great photo ops for the shutterbug.

We've seen far to many cathedrals to be overly impressed but they are working hard to make the façade clean and attractive. If you like visiting cathedrals, you won't be disappointed.

This lovely Baroque style Cathedral is in the heart of the Old town and is easily found when walking along the Rue Rossetti at the Place Rossetti. This is the heart of the tourist area and so the Cathedral attracts a large number of visitors. It can get quite crowded. The Cathedral is dedicated to a third century Christian martyr,... More

I wouldn't call the Cathedral impressive, but it is worth a quick visit. When I was there, the church had a (small) exhibition about the use of God and religious themes in advertising, which I thought was a cool, rather progressive, proposition.
