Our bike was stolen even though it was locked.Very unfriendly at the velo blue bike callcenter. We had 2 go to a police station far away to report it stolen, and then 2 veloblue all the way across town. Lost almost a day vacation. Bikes were on top poorly maintained and of shabby quality.

I (tried) to use this service at most 10 times and only twice i remember i could really use the (quite malfunctioning) bicycle. It takes an average of 10 minutes to finally find a bicycle that (seems to) work. After that you need another 5 minutes to put it back and (try) to take another one. Once i couldn't return... More

A fabulous way to get around Nice (once registered which can be complicated), our bike was stolen during use during the ironman weekend in Nice. A helpful man on the phone told me what to do but sadly a week later, numerous calls and emails are not responded too! Velobleu please consider your customer service when things go wrong!!!!

The concept is a good idea but it was not explained well. I was led to believe you could rent it for the day for 1 Euro, but that was only if you use it for 1/2 hour and swap for another one. The bikes are in bad shape and they come with locks that obviously don't work. We had... More

As other comments confirm- very complicated to register by phone. I even went to the Tourist information in the Parc and they were not interested- just gave me instructions in French, even though I don't speak French. They couldn't work the phone registration out either. I then read on the leaflet about the Velo Bleu office opposite the station. Helpful... More

What a great idea: bikes around Nice area and you could go withe them easily!! BUT!!!! Then I tried to catch a bike and unfortunately this turned up too hard. Machines did not work etc. A lot of tourist noticed the same. I asked from one local french and he said "good luck", it was hard for him and said... More

Tried to hire a bike having used similar schemes in NY, Paris, Vienna and Melbourne and this is far and away the worst. The few terminals with credit card weren't working and it was impossible to register on the phone or Internet unless you spoke French. Such a great location for a scheme like this but let down terribly by... More

I was very excited to use Velo Bleu while we were on the Cote d'Azur last week. I researched it online, so I went ahead and registered, to save us time at the kiosk. Well, despite my best efforts, we ended up wasting a lot of time with Velo Bleu. The system was confusing for me (and I speak French)....I... More

Ok bikes but took a walk of an hour to find a credit card accepting terminal. Then after half hour got the bikes. Worked well but realised after the matter they deducted €300 euro which is yet to be refunded. Useless really! It's my travel card money which I want to use.

We used these bikes when we were here last year, so we were all set up and didn't need to go through the registration process again. We were really pleasantly surprised because it looks as though the bikes have all been replaced with new ones (the ones we got were all fairly new). The bikes now have hooks in the... More
