This is a must see in Nice. It is very different from everything else in this city, and makes you feel like you are in Russia rather than France. The walls are red brick stones and dominates most of the building, and it was not as colorful as I expected from pictures. Still, it is beautiful both inside and out... More

An impressive and unusual sight amongst the palm trees and blazing sunshine of Nice. We didn't go inside as there was a service, but found a shady bench behind the cathedral where we could rest our feet and admire the colourful building. It's about a thirty minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais or a 15 minute walk west from... More

I'm just keeping the average mark by other trippers because I haven't been able to see the Cathedral since I was there by night and it's unfortunately not enlightened ! It's an average 20 to 30mn walk from the city centre (close to the train station)

This is a very pretty Russian style church, set in a little oasis of greenery. The church is free to enter but parking is very limited and can get quite congested.

In my travels, I like to visit Imperial Romanov family sites, so when visiting Nice, I specifically went out of my way to come check out this beautiful cathedral. The church is located in an unremarkable neighborhood, an easy walk from the central train station. The exterior is gorgeous and picturesque, and it rivals many of the Orthodox churches you'll... The quality of the exterior is amazing, and would not be out of place in Moscow or St.Petersburg. The interior is not quite as stunning although do not let this put you off. The cathedral, consecrated in December 1912 in memory of Nicholas Alexandrovich, Tsarevich of Russia, who died in Nice, was actually funded by the Tsar Nicholas II. The... More

Would call it must visit. Near the railway station, this cathedral has a distinctive architecture of its own

While it is certainly beautiful inside, it is definitely different than other churches in the area. Almost out of place. Very small once inside, and no photographs.
