I can't figure out why this is a "thing to do" in Nice. Is nothing extraordinary about it. For me is the street that guide me to the train station. It also has a food store close to my hotel so I go there a few times. But still if you live far away and don't need to take it... More

Walk it and browse the shops. Be sure to stop into Notre Dame church to take a load off or catch your breath before proceeding south to the famous Place Massena. The tram line runs down its center if you would rather ride. Can take tram to Gaibaldi and the gateway to the port.

One of the central avenues, full of banks, restaurants, offices, etc. Comfortable transport to various parts of the city. At nights, amateur singers amuse people.

You can spend all day in and... More

Truth is that there are hundreds of different stores and some of them with really affordable prices. But there are also lots of restaurants, cafes, and some nice buildings, including Notre-Dame. Avenue is traffic free, except for trams.Busy, lively and nice.

Take a stroll down Avenue Jean Medecin and you are likely to find something that fits your taste. Or why not sit down and relax at the outdoor café vis-a-vis Monoprix for a refreshing drink....
